180 to flat slick gearing?

When using a flat slick 26.0/7.0/17, how many more teeth most the rear sprocket have to equal the same gear ratio as a 180/55/17?

16 x 48 = 130 mph @ 11,000 in 4th with 180/55/17 = 24.8"

16 x 51 = 130 mph @ 11,000 in 4th with 26" slick

Are you saying, go up 3 teeth on the rear to make them equal?

You need to measure the radius (floor to center of axle) of the tire once mounted, and compare it to the radius of your 180, when mounted. Then I can answer you fairly accurately.

The numerical designation of the tire size doesn't tell the full story. There are huge variances in the real world.

flat slick radius=12.5"

180 radius= 11.5"

flat slick's circumference is 5.5" larger than 180's circumference.

Maybe the circumference is but not the overall diameter.
