should there be an oring here??

I was going to put my cut oil pan on and realized it looks like I'm missing an oring, I don't think it had an oring when I pulled it off, but it sure looks like one goes there.

This is the "stud that goes into the oil pan to hold it into place, no oil flows through it or anything and the only purpose an oring would have is to hold it securely into place.

No Cody, the oring is in the engine block where the other end goes up against.

The part that I'm pointing at does go in the bottom of the oil pan, right?

That one should be up in the block, not over that nub. There are 2 orings only on that oil tube. Or was there a design change after 07 ????

Crap, must have came out with the oil pan. I left it on the oil tube when i reinstalled the pan. Should I pull it back off, its going to end up on the tube anyway isn't it?
