New Panigale vs zx14r

Hi guys,
By the way im a newbie and longtime lurker. Lot of nice people here!
I have on order both a base 1199 and zx14r on order and when the snow melts here in quebec i am going to take them both on the motocross trailer to the napierville dragway or sanair to see bone stock what i can do on them (not what they can do!).
Any takers on the result?
I used to have :
cbr600 f2
2002 r1
2003 gsxr1000
2003 sv1000s
so they are my fifth and sixth road bikes.
Panigale comes stock with a quickshiter so that might help.
If i can get in the 9 on both bikes ill be happy.
Im around 6ft2 175pds nkd

Welcome. I am going to take the 14 on et, I think you will be able to launch the Kaw much better than the Ducati. I read the article in CW on the 1199 and although I have always ridden Kaws that 1199 is probably one of the best looking bikes on the planet. Have fun with both, and be careful.

I believe you're gonna do better on the panigale cause the 14R is hard to ride on the drag strip! My friend bought a 14 last saturday I rode and scare the hell out of me Lol

The trick to lauch the fury in the zx14r or the ''BOOZA '' is to put a 360 chrome clad air suspension on these bikes....no need for a kick stand and the extra heft makes them handle real nice in a straight line (with the back tire off 10 inches to make room for the stock chain)!

I don't know would a jack shaft even hold up to hard launching at the strip?

Im guessing the Ducati will not be any easier to ride, have you seen the wheelbase and hp its suppose to make. It's the best looking bike out to my eyes at least as well.

You picked my two favorites, as well. I'm not even a Duc guy but that Panigale is a beaut. You're looking at elite extremism vs the velvet sledge hammer. The bikes complement each other very nicely; sweet pair. Congrats.

Congrats for your purchase !

Let me know when you go to the drag strip. I like it to see that and maybe go with ZX14 06.
