Genmar bar riser vs helibar Question?

Who has the genmar bar risers and how do you like them compared to the helibars? Do you have to change the brake line or anything? Just a 1/4" difference but the genmars have the covers over the adjusters that I like.

I've had the GenMars on a couple 14's and liked them. They are as tall as you can go because there would be rubbing against the windscreen wellnut if any higher.

Their quality is great with simple installation.

Since the rise is only 3/4" no new lines are needed.

The genmars are showing 1" height on the site and I was wondering if they rubbed or you had to change anything? Thanks for the info!

Sorry, it's been a while since I bought mine......

I'd say the Heli-Bars are 3/4" and the GenMars are 1". I just remember the GenMars being 1/4" taller.

The GenMars worked fine with no mods.

Thanks Dan! I am going to give them a try on the new 14. I do more sport touring than anything and wanted as much rise as I could get without changing brake and clutch lines.

LSL bar kit and it comes with new braided brake lines. If you find those little "risers" are not enough, check out the LSL kit. Well built and quality stuff.

This makes the ZX an all day tourer yet retains all the fun of the original 14. Win!

Quarter that looks good! I just might have to try those if the genmars don't stack up. Thanks for the pic. I bet it is comfortable.

I tried the genmars and it was not enough of a change to make a real difference. The kit comes with a different bar than what I used (stock ZRX bar) that has less of a rise. Same bend, just lower rise.
Here's a different view...Sgt seat, Murphs lower pegs for a C14 (direct fit) and rear rack for topbox or rack depending on mood. Can you say comfy touring?!
