Guhl Motors ECU reflash .. News and updates ..
Guhl Motors Will have my ECU for a reflash next week .. It will have the RPM limit upped 500 RPMs , Top speed limiter removed and a little timing changes ... The flies will also be opening faster ( i have removed the flies on my bike ) so that really will not be any help to me .. I talked to Don At Guhl Motors and you could not talk with a nicer guy .. My up coming testing will be to find the very best shft points for ET and MPH .. Right now i'm shifting at 10800 and i believe there is more power to be had shifting at a higher RPM .. I will be trying 10900 and 11000 and see if we can find some extra power and faster shift recovery times ..
Don is working on fueling maps and NOS maps and other trick things .. BUT what Don needs is a ZX14R for testing ... Anyone near Ephrata ,PA with a ZX14R could help him out ? We must have some bikeland members close to him that help him out ..

Shane i'm sure it will ... I liked kawitoms flashed ECU when i tried it on my bike .. It seemed to run smoother than the stocker and felt to have more power with the extra timing .. .. I wish i could have kept it to do more testing but Tom wanted it back for dyno testing .... I wanted to test different shift RPMs and i couldn't because my air shifter was giving me problems ....

Cool .. I hope you can hook up with Don for testing .. This will help open the door for all kinds of ECU tunning like the busa have .. . More power for all of us zx14r owners !!! ..

I thought Rg and Brock were doing some testing on the ECU along with one of Brock exhaust along with Don?.... maybe it didn't work out.... Also Brock mentioned a while back that he has a bike to test..... I guess with winter actually getting a little heavy in Ohio he can only bench test.

Yea, Looking for that info also,Brock/Rickey/Don, & use Smokin for testing Waaaay down South...

Yes brock is working with Don .. Kawitoms ECU was flashed and sent to Brock .. Brock tested it on the dyno ( The back to back dyno runs were posted somewhere on bikeland ) .. Brock sent me Kawitoms ECU and i tested it at the 1/8 mile track but my air shifter was MIA .. So i never got to do a good and full test of the ECU .. Kawitom needed his ECU back for dyno testing , so i sent it back ..
This will be my ECU and i will have pleanty of time for full testing on the drag strip... The tracks are closed up north is the drag testing will happen here in FL ..
