So you guys are saying I can put a Gen1 14 /06 - 11 Akropovic full system on the new 14R, Is the headers not different?

By what I've read, you have to shim the bottom of the radiator out with a couple of washers. That's it.

I have heard the exhaust port diameter may be slightly different (larger?) which is probably why Brock hasn't released the 14R system yet. It would be nice to have the port sizes measured by someone who has a Gen1 & a 14R so we could know for sure.

Everything I have read, assures me that you can use the 1st gen exhaust, but the actual 2nd exhaust which Brock is producing now should yield more power. The power has yet to be determine (dyno wise), but the e.t. is around mid to low 8:4s

The 14r uses a bigger header pipe than the gen 1 14s. They will fit but are not optimized

It really makes sense to buy it right the first time.....IMHO, as far as other companies besides Brock's: I bet plenty are being released at the dealer expo... After all the 14R is the new pinnacle of performance

I would think (W/my very limited knowledge.) that the slimmer headers would give better mid-range for the street, no? I want it to fit right, though. No shimming if I'm paying that kind of money. Still hunting...
