No bikes in any portion? Or just the 60-130? Sounds whack, either way...
what i was told just the 60 to 130 .. bikes can come and race each other..

I am glad you posted this, I was wanting to go, but we don't race on Sunday and couldn't take advantage of the finals. I think the high dollar cars realized that they were going To get seriously embarrassed in the 60 to130 mph class. I even thought about going to the street meet, but I know we would end up on the highway with some car. and a highly publicized race night like this I'm sure the Houston cops will be out. You may outrun the squad car, but the helicopter will get you every time.
Ken
A bike will not win this event. 2 cars are gonna be in the 2second range for sure that I know of. ON STREET TIRES

Bunch of wusses. I guess they didn't want to get walked by stock motored GSX1000R again, in their half million dollar cars.

Hahah he went 5.9 seconds in the 60-130. I can see his bike going mid 4s now MAYBE, and his bike is no slouch what so ever.
To comprehend a 2.x 60-130 time is crazy....

Then why not let them compete? If a stock motor GSXR went 5.9 what is one of these turbo bikes or a bike with a big shot going to run on?

What would you conceder a big shot? I was on a well running genII with a 100 shot on it and I got into the 3s
And the guy that's putting up the money wants it to go to a street car. It's his event so he can dictate how the money gets payed out. Bikes are allowed to run. Just not for the prize money that some car fanatic has donated.

I think the 100-110 race is an even better measure. Or maybe a 101-104 race. We can only dream...

that time he run is ancient history! today's bikes or considerably faster. my street bike is considerably having compared to today's grudge bikes at 720 pounds bike and rider, but we can still run the zero two a 110 mph in 3.4 seconds. The hardest part of that is getting a heavy bike moving once it gets to 60 it's game on. I could see it running 2.9 to low 3 second range. Street legal on a street tire. there are bikes in Houston that are faster than my street bike And that is what the cars guys already know.I can see why the guy with the $250,000 Lambo does not want to see that race.

One gear, two stage nitrous, a properly set up bike will do 60-130 quicker then a 500hp turbo and not have traction issues. It would be in that 2+ second range.

you have to have a v chip to make this run. the Guy talk like they didn't have that many chips, and said it would be first come first serve. I am just curious if the car guys are gonna get them before the bikes. If this race was in my backyard I would definitely make it. I'm not sure at this point. Michael, I hope you are Glenn makes this race it is in your backyard.

mph. Yes, those are the numbers I ran. Yes, the 60' was undesireable (1.51). 64 1/2" wheelbase made it very difficult to leave. I'm not entirely sure i'd call 1.51 a "horrible" 60', no doubt could have been much better.

So if the 143 was measured at the 8th mile, it must be a different bike then the one in your sig?

i just looked at the logs from an LSR pass I did last summer at Loring, Maine event.
NA 280hp Busa, me 240# +/- suited
My top speed was 226; 60-130 = right at 4 sec.
I log gps & wheelspeed & elapsed time & distance; pretty sure the 4 sec is accurate.
Watch out for those 1500hp+ lambos, fukken beasts, and unstable until they get downforce.
You couldn't pay me to run my bike side by side with the lambos, seen too many spin at 130-150?? mph at the Texas Mile.
