Roll On's...
I see a lot of threads popping up about roll on races. Am I the only one here that thinks my grandma can do roll on races with someone? Isn't part of drag racing the first 60/330'?? Rider SKILL? Talent? Setting bike up properly? Etc...
I don't understand what racing from 40mph is proving.

It shows how little skill they have.Really how hard is it to wack the throttle open,hold on and shift gears?

I can't stand roll racing other bikes. Cars vs bikes I can understand but that's just for fun and what not. ANY time money is involved it has to be from a dig car, bike, space ship or foot!

AMA dragbike should reopen and add a roll on class. They might get more participants.

Oh I agree with you why not race from a dead start! It shows the best rider/combo. And tahrs what I like about bike racing. ANY ONE of us can go out and beat up on the guy with more money (to a point) it's about skill.

hey dude with all the respects you don't own this forum and people can talk about everything other than drag racing.. this is about zx14 not just drag racing.. when you have your own then you can decide what you want to do.
some people don't give a fu@@ how skill you are, they just probably want to see how quick their bike is in other ways other than drag race.. you think drag racing is the only way, in my opinion i disagree but i don't go make a new thread bitching about this place turn to roll on place or drag place ..

But we are all guilty of roll racing. It's just convenient to do it. Hell a couple weeks ago I jumped a pack of squids and rolled all of them with the saddle bags on the 14 lol

that is not the point wee.. you like drag race.. some like push it to the limit on twisti roads, some like it roll on to see how is his bike do and some like to just cruise around.. that does not make a you a king and others pussies.. u get my point

In my opinion the purpose of roll ons at least with stock or semi stock bikes is to show what the factory is producing. Kaw & Zuki have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars advertising who has the most power and one of the ways it is proven on the street is with a simple roll on. It takes the driver out of the equation and your are left with the power of the bike. Most stock hyper bikes are bought because the owner thinks his bike will be faster than brand x. The roll ons I have been doing are simply proving the point that the 14R from the factory bone stock is the fastest production bike in the world as Kawasaki has said and as I have been proving the last 8 days since I have bought it. It's all about the BIKE.

WTF how can anyone say what is the piont of a roll on race duhh,to see which bike is the fastest to say 300km/h,not everybody stays in the USA and do just drag racing there is roads out there to ride and enjoy your bike and have the ocassional race/ roll on with your mates,and ride some twisties not just 400m and stop,those ZX14's can actually turn aswell you should try it some time.

With all the respects to you as well, never did I say I owned the forum, nor do I want to own a forum. Your right, they can talk about whatever they want, but I'm asking why not do it from a dead start? It sounds like I offended you. If I did, my bad.
I don't think drag race is the only way, but drag race/roll on race is almost the same thing, except roll ons require zero skill. I'm not going to say I've never done it, but I don't go around trying to grudge race from a roll. Lol
