That looks awesome. I wonder what it would be like with a drag seat. I really need to get a spare tank and mess around with it.

Thanks for the assist.

with the drag seat, I don't think that the gas cap would agree with your crotch much...

Kind of what I was worried about, but the Catalyst cut down tank doesn't agree with my wallet much.

Thanks Dan.
Tucked in, I'm not up on the tank at the bottom, I'm back on the seat.
Another attempt at getting pictures up here. With the drag seat, as long as I'm sitting on the seat and leaning onto the tank it's not bad. We've thought about getting some foam to put in there or cutting off the front part of the drag seat where it starts to come up. Just got it finished last week though. Was kind of hurrying for Wilmington.

Thanks for posting those up, it looks good and I bet it really helps getting tucked in for high speed. I am not sure what I am going to do, I guess eventually I will have to fork over the cash for one of the Pro Street tanks and tails, I just need to get lower and further up front.

Here's one from Ohio with the race seat and cutdown tank. It made it WAY easier to get down behind the windscreen. I didn't feel any wind on my head or back even at 200.

Great shot Rich. I forgot to pass on the congratulations on busting 200!
I know someone else who's getting a cut-down tank and it's all your fault. ;-)

Me too. I'd love to get a tank made like this. What's it gonna take to get you going on a couple of these?

Thanks Dan. It's not my fault though. It was Roy's idea.
Guys, I don't make them. Roy (Wrongway) cut and welded it with his son in law. I just took it to a friend at a body shop to get it finished up and painted.

I knew Roy had cut his down and had done yours but I never knew who's idea it was to leave the top part on for the bodywork.
I've seen Roy's in action over the years and knew how well it worked so I got a tank but was sitting on it, hoping to figure something out like the design of your bike.
I've said it before, Roy must never sleep. He's always tinkering & working to go faster. I'd like to see his old Camaro back on the track.
I'd say he can stay even busier cutting our tanks down since nothing is really available ('cept race bodywork) and I'm looking forward to getting mine back for Wilmington & Loring in July.
Once again Rich, your whole bike looks fantastic.

I talked to my son-in-law today and dropped off another tank to weld up. he says $200 + shipping to cut and weld up a tank, including a gas cap and welding in a neck .
