tiger tail

I just got my after market under tail. I'm about to order a swing arm from evil swing arms but my question is. How far out could I go with out the tiger tail rubbing . I would like a 12 over. But I notice wheelie undertail was rubbing a little. Don't know if he fix that yet. So should I order a 10 over or a 12 over. Thanks guys

I would suggest 12 over but that's your choice, after installing an 08 Booza spring and Litz revalve my Tiger Tail does not rub, 210 pound rider, 12" over Mcintosh swingarm, adjustable Soupys lowering links as low as they will go by spec.

Imo, the biggest issue with the Tiger Tail is that they didn't make the fender flap removable...the 12R setup they sell allows you to remove it.

Still, very nice product, imo...my old build thread has pics and measurements.

I can't understand why they continue to cut that hole for the seat key, so it doesn't look right on a 14r, they have no plan to change it, it's less work for them.

yeah I really want the 12 over but I'm only going to about 66-67 for now.so with the 12 over I'm gonna have to do my shock and get some adjustble links so it won't rub and it won't look to high. Or I'm I gonna need that with a 10 over anyway trying to say some money at the same time. Thanks

+1, Go long, if you don't you will just end up changing stuff around when you decide you wished you would have went longer. You will need adjustable links at any length really, have to get low, and the spring will really depend on how much you weigh. Shock will help any setup, but there are people with some really good 60's with stock shocks if they are a lighter person.

I went 10 over with my Evil arm ... I wish i had gone 12 .. With a 150 link chain and 16/43 gears i can only get just a tad over 66 inches and that not strapped down .. Strapping down in the front makes it even shorter , so i'm close to 66 inches ..

It's a great arm and great price ..BUT installing your old bearing out of your arm to the new arm are a pain in the ass .. I had to use a die grinder to ream out the holes to get them in ..
Do your self a BIG favor and pay Evil to install new bearing before they send it to you .. It's a few more bucks but a lot less trouble ..

............. AND he was even a little rude about it like I shouldn't even be asking, but what choice did I have?

Sucks for me ................................

There you go, speed holes...lol

*edit* And if it makes you guys feel any better, I took all of my seat hardware off when I installed the Catalyst Drag Seat, so I also have a worthless hole in my Tiger Tail.
