went with ebay to cut the oil pan
So I send my oil pan out to get done in cali the guy takes for eva one month . Then when he finally answers my email he says he sent it out . A week later no oil pan. Finally I get the oil pan the guy sends it back with no return. So dissapointed in this guy now he doesn't answer my emails. Do I really need the return for the oil pan? I really want to put the bike together. Don't let this guy fool u too

Why didn't you just get one from OSR? Didn't you ask us a while back about this oil pan?

Same guy that does the revalved shocks, I had a good experience with that, however, I am with eklipse on this, you should have went with OSR for the pan. There is a thread on PB about an engine grenading with one of those pans, it seems that the clearances were not right with the pick up tube and it was starved of oil. OSR makes a proven product and customer service is top notch.

Are you talking about the rubber return hose that goes connected to the bottom of the motor? If so you will not wanna run that anyway. You will get way to much blow by with a cut pan. But I have one of them if you feel you need it.

It isn't a set measurement, it depends on how much taken out of the pan.

Give shannon at OSR a call. If it were me, I would call him and see about sending the pan and pickup to him just to make sure it's right. Someone posted about their motor starving of oil with one of these pans.
I understand you don't want to put anymore money in it, but a couple extra $ at this point is better than a blown motor

OSR FTW on cut oil pans. Quick turnaround. He'll go to bat for you when and if the person installing the oil pan decides not to read the instructions he sends with it also. Please cut or remove the little rubber tube. Please.

Waiting on my pan from OSR, should be here tommorow. Not positive, but I don't believe that tube is used after cut/modified.
