Have you had a opportunity with the 14R to test out one of your Turbo kits. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

he uses a stand alone ECU with secondary injectors anyway, and the DJ isnt even required....

hmmm, Dubious do you know if there is a USB port for software access on the stand alone ECU. I would still like to be able to adjust ????

After he sets your bike up, I don't think there is much adjusting needed.
But there has got to be a way to adjust it.

Romans: I met Chris Jones last Thursday. He loaded my C14 in his truck to take to his shop for turbo installatiion. He mentioned he has a (at least one, but maybe more??) new ZX14R, but we didn't talk about what he is doing with it. And, it's true he was to attend an uncle's funeral last Sat. Lew

Hello guys, yes I have been playing with the new zx14r already. I was all over that thing nearly fours month ago now when Bobby (Raoaring Toyz) got his pre-production untit from Kawasaki. I already have a full race bike in the making that will be run in the real street class for the MIR racing event and a street kit. I am having new pistons/rods being built for the new 14r for turbo application. The new motor is one bad unit, the only thing I don't care for is the new clutch. The BIGGEST hold up right now is a POWER COMMANDER. I spoke to Dyno-jet today and they told me that hopefully they would have a unit availabe for sale within the next two months. I have ways around this, but from a consumer stand point the pc5 is still the best choice when it comes to tuning the driveability for a street kit. In my race kits, I hardly ever use a pc3 or 5; I simply use a Micro-tech ecu and map the bike in the negative (vacumn) areas were needed. This also serves as a anti-lag device and give the motor a big hit on bottom end, power right off the line. Another option that is on the table also is to hand wire a zx10 pc5 onto the new 14r. That is the route that was taken on the pre-production untit that was built by Roaring Toyz. You guys are more than welcome to call me at the shop after 6 pm and I can give you any details you may need with regards to turbocharging the new 14r. Im pretty open and have problems helping out. Im not into this for the money, it is my love and desire since childhood. I just don't want to get in trouble through this site, Im not a sponsor. Thanks for your interest, Sincerely, Chris Jones.

Honestly, from my experience drag racing, Chris Jones is one of the most knowledgeable Turbo and engine builders I have used. His Tune up was on point when I came back to Houston and had my bike dyno'd. Billy from Tejas Motorsports said it was Perfect! He knows more about ZX14's than most the people in America. He's a stand up Guy and I highly recommend him. Jeff Peck
