14R cam chain tensioner

I was just reading an article in SSB and it mentioned of an updated CCT. Does anyone know if it will possibly fit the 06-11 models?

I just went with the Ape manual tensioner as the stocker was dying. It is a huge improvement as there is no waiting for oil pressure to build, it's just quite as soon as the motor starts. Installation was simple, also it's way cheaper than Kawi's version.

I've been hearing some chatter around 3-4k and the mech that usually works on my bike said its probably cct. I'm still under warranty but that maybe if the new one is better and direct swap it might be a good idea to get one... Once warranty is out and i happen to have probs with it def going to het the manual.

Could be your tilt over sensor. That is usually about the rpm range they start to chatter and is normal for the 14.

Nah definitely coming from the engine. When the bike is cold you can barely hear it, starts warming up and starts showing and then once hot it's there. I hate it! :-) Now I am no expert but that's what I was told it is ..

That doesn't sound like a cam chain tensioner to me. That noise is usually bad right at start up but gets better once oil pressure is up. If the tensioner was bad it may make it do something different, I am not sure.

Possibly IF the spring got weak...might allow that chain to slap anytime?
