Why would you use that? Just curious. A Raptor shift light has a launch function and a shift light and is self contained. Uses four wires (speed sensor, coil, 12VDC, ground), all for around $130.

I've used the DSM-2H before. It does hook up to two coils as the ZX14 ignition system is a wasted spark design. You would hook up to one inside and one outside coil using the supplied Y cable that should be with the unit. The single leg of the Y cable attaches to the green wire for tach signal.

I have one and it works perfect!
I tried the msd shift light first, and couldn't get it to work. Msd was of no help. So that's what roger starrette told me to get, he helped me hook it up in about 15 min

The DMS-2H should have a T101 adapter in the box. One leg of it attaches to the negative lead on one of the inside coils and the other leg attaches to the negative of an outside coil. The green wire from the DMS-2H then attaches to the top leg of the T101 adapter. It doesn't matter which inside or which outside coil. The adapter legs are only so long so hook it to whichever coils it will reach.

To be honest, it was at least a year ago... And he did it so fast I don't know, sorry I can't be of help. Maybe if no one chimes in with the right answer I will take the fairing off and see one day this week
