Racing Rickey Contest

I just got that E- Mail from Kawasaki about racing Rickey to win a 2012 ZX-14R.Well I don't think I got a chance. But that one in a million holeshot who knows.I've raced different bikes so I'm not a rookie.I need to get my gearing back to stock as with the stock wheelbase bike it should wheelie pretty good.I raced my Z-1000 and came out too hard and it wheelied all through first.Oh well off to the dragstrip I go in the spring.

You cannot enter the contest if you have or previously had an NHRA license and you must have proof of one year experience on a 1000cc or larger bike and no DUI’s or reckless driving charges on your license.

That contest is complete shit then, every average guy that goes to a NHRA track has to have a licence to run 999 and down.
So Kawi is looking to find some average street rider with NO track experience beat a seasoned Pro rider??

My point, I have race just very little times through the yrs, but had to HAVE the NHRA license to run the bigger bikes(dipping in the 9's).. So now we are banned because of this..

Hence the name of the contest "ZERO to hero challenge" makes sense. However seasoned rider or not no one is beating Gadson

I entered the contest over the weekend...read up on the rules tonight and it says you have to beat Rickey to win the bike. Here's what it says on the Kawasaki website:

Witness the world's top two motorcycles in a showdown for supremacy. You could be one of four chosen riders to take your racing to the top level with nine-time AMA drag racing champion Rickey Gadson. He will personally train you to race the incredible new Ninja ZX-14R sportbike against other finalists. The fastest contestant will then battle Rickey in the final race. The challenge is simple: Beat Rickey, keep the bike.

NHRA license is OK. Pro license is not. Here's the take from the rules page:

Participant will be required to provide proof of one year of experience on a 1,000cc or larger motorcycle; attest that they have a driving record clear of any reckless driving or DUI convictions; provide a copy of their driving record upon request; have little or no NHRA experience, does not hold, nor previously held, an NHRA Pro license; and be willing to provide proof of a physical examination meeting NHRA requirements.

Saying no one can beat Rickey is a pretty bold statement, Rickey can and has been beat........but obviously not by a rookie. There is a few seasoned riders that can beat RG same day same bike.
That being said he is very, very good at what he does and he can probably provide more feedback on bike set-up than most seasoned riders out there.
