I think that you're right - mine is 309.

Build date of 10-11, but that would be in Japan. Dealer show was 10-10, so with the time difference, the production bikes were being built while the show was going on ...............

If I'd known that, I woulda just bought a Harley - "made in USA."

Strange that the first deliveries were on the West Coast, East Coast and Houston .............. not anywhere close to Nebraska ...........................

I'm not doubting the existance of a plant there - it is well documented.

What I'm asking is if you KNOW that the ZX-14R was / is manufactured there and how do you know that?

if your first letter of your vin is 'J' that means it is manufactured in japan regardless!!
the last 8 digit of your vin number called stock number. the first letter of the stock is the year of the bike which C stands for 2012..

All I know is what my dealer told me .. That all the new 14R's are assembled in Lincoln. I'm sure everything is manufactured elsewhere . I'm just glad to see the larger Japanese companies bringing jobs over here. It's a win-win for all.

Nebraska USED to produce bikes, but for the last several years have produced mostly ATVs and jetskis.

Look on the frame where the VIN is stamped...it will state the country (Kawasaki Japan, Kawasaki USA) of origin...I am patiently waiting for my GREEN SE to arrive, so I have nothing to check!
