uh -- the berlin wall fell because east germany's people stood up against the regime, and they did it on their own. The USSR collapsed because it went bankrupt, not because of our troops somehow defeating them in the name of democracy.
leave the other countries to themselves. they can defend themselves if need be. this country cant afford to foot the bill in the form of cash or loss of life any more.
maybe you should bone up on the constitution and just check out how "free" you really are... you've heard of the patriot act, ndaa etc... you're not as free as you think you are.

You're misquoting Galileo. There - now you've learned something from me. . . just thought I'd pull my head out of the sand long enough to help you pull yours out of somewhere too...
And for the record, those that cannot see the giant shadow that China casts upon this country are truly those with their heads in the sand. "The US MILITARY will STILL fight and Die to protect your right to be FREE....". Wake up, friend. Our sovereignty as a nation is not under attack in a manner in which our military can defend - corporate greed combined with mass ignorance is selling like hot cakes in this country. And the end result might be that we all wake up one day under a Chinese flag. I'm not trying to be an ass, but I simply don't think for a second that those who question our government are the ones burying their heads in the sand....

The whole world is selling out to China, even if you want to buy American or Canadian good luck finding it. American and Canadian companies have sold us out to cheap labor. When the top CEO's only take 3 hrs to earn (that's in Canada, American CEO's make way more) what takes the average workers a whole year to earn and bonus is geared towards company profits they will source out the cheapest labor. When it costs over a billion dollars to ran for president, who do you think they are going to take care of, there friends with deep pockets or us? I'm for free market but how can we possibly compete with people earning $2 a day?? So we bitch and moan about it but rather sit on our asses watching our big screen TV's and watching football than going out in masses and protesting. We are all to "fat" and comfortable still, until all our rights are taken away nothing much will happen. Then maybe we will fight and do whatever it takes like you see in Syria, protesting under sniper fire.

Sad mentality of some here. Alas most of you will die horribly and without honor at the hands of those who will oppress you and those you care about. Try to not to panic too much when death comes knocking at your door unopposed because you were too naive and voted your freedoms away when you voted for those in big government to think for you.
The rest of us will FIGHT because we knew better and kept things the government said we shouldn't/couldn't have. Sure, we might die, too, but we will die with honor and the truth.
WE will all die one day. It is guaranteed. The question is this: How do YOU want to die?

THE WORLD HISTORY HAS ALWAYS HAD WORLD POLICEMEN .. The English was the last one before America .. the sun never sets on the British empire .. before them the Spanish ..before them the Romans.. the Greeks .. the Mongols..the Egyptians... and ECT ECT ECT .. This is not a civil war like in the old days and I doubt very much your military neighbor will want to do you in. Your military neighbor will more likely rise up against gov't "policy" and protect his family, friends, street, town, state against the corrupt elite in gov't.
Yes, big gov't has bigger weapons and means to hurt you, but it will still take that human touch to deploy it. And I doubt any decent military operator nowadays has the stomach to do it against his family and neighbors.

Obba, i agree with alot of what you say, but that "fact" ain't a fact.
Saudi, Russia, Norway are the top 3 exporters, Saudi alone exports just under 9MMBOPD.
Iran+Iraq+Ven = about 6MMBOPD

You done left out why and how guns were confiscated during evacuation. Katrina was a natural disaster that warranted evacuation of homes. Lots of homes had legally possessed firearms. In the chaos that was Katrina, confiscation was prudent, in my opinion, lest the looters and thugs get to them first...thus to use them to crime in an already chaotic and desperate situation against innocents. Which would you prefer? And let's not forget that lots of the confiscated firearms were returned when the rightful owners demanded them back. It wasn't pretty and efficient, but I'd like to think the action kept guns out of our enemies hands, foreign and domestic.
