does anyone have a 14 clutch basket out of a bike?
If you do, Im looking for some measurements and pics of how the basket fits the gear. Last winter i tried fitting a busa basket to a 12 gear and it wouldnt have worked without turning part of the basket down. i didnt feel comfortable doing that so sold it to a buddy and ran a 12 basket. this winter im going to try and fit a larger clutch in the bike again.
thx

would you mind getting some pics and measurements? interested in basket diameter where it meets the gear, and spacing on the rivets
thanks

If you do get some good measurements off it, would you mind sharing? I'm trying to figure out how to graft a stronger clutch basket onto my Turbo Concours.... Turns out the C14 runs a waaaay different clutch basket than the ZX14.

differant as in from 07 to the 08 design. or what way cause i've mated a 08 connie crank to an 08 connie outer basket and used a zx14 inner hub and pressure plate without issue

... ..Wow. The Outter basket is the same between the C14 and the ZX14? The Connie has that 6 spring pressure plate (the ZX14 is running the 5 spring if I'm not mistaken). I don't know anything more than that.... I just assumed that they were completely different after seeing that.
I'm trying to find a strong solution for the stock C14 clutch set up... the outer basket scares me a bit. Do you think an aftermarket billet basket for the ZX14 would work with the connie inner hub? Or do you think that the connie outer basket will handle an enthusiastic boosted launch on a 670lb bike? Hell, would the inner hub survive that?
Thanks for the advice/help.... I'm pretty green when it comes to clutch technology for drag racing and high(er) HP bikes.

Kawaski has not had basket problems since the 2000 and 2001 zx12.
Anything can be broken but I don't think your basket would be the weak link in that launch.
Tire choice and suspension will limit what you can do to the basket.
IF you can get it to hook and not flip you probably did hit it too hard.

I'M SURE THEY ARE .. BUT WHAT I DID WAS USED THE CONNIE OUTTER and a zx14 inner to get a 5 finger lock-up to work .. and the zx14 pressure plate ... that will work i test that.. but i did not test switching outter baskets

Interesting. Has anyone here fragged a stock zx14 basket? How well did your hybrid lockup set up work for you?
Thanks again.

Did you run that set-up in a ZX-12 or a ZX14? And why did you have to run the C14 outter basket instead of the Zx-14 basket? That's pretty cool that the cast C14 basket holds up to abuse..... what sort of power/60's does it run like that (if you don't mind me asking)?
Thanks
