I like the fact that the CT doesn't need the foot pet to hold it in place like the older CT i had on my 09 .. That's why i went for the Alien Head 2 so i could toss both rear foot pegs ..

This bike is said to be 17 pounds heavier than the gen 1 , but with a few little unused brackets and dohickys i think we will find out it will be within a few pounds of the old bike ..

Nice job Shane ...

Lee, here is the exhaust port:

14R and 14 exhaust gaskets are the same. The CT spigot clears the port without issue.

That 28 lbs will not be apparent with similar mods, trust me.

I will soon prove this.

Buy it!!

I am sure you can come up with something cheaper and faster! But this thread is about the 14R.

you said with mods you can find how to drop the 28lbs .... i'm saying with mods i can beat 1441cc and cheaper than $20,000.00 LOL

What I was saying is that with typical mods, in practice, the bike is not 28 lbs heavier. Mod for mod it will be pretty close to a 2006 bike, I am sure.

As I say, I will prove this shortly.

The mid pipe looks freakin huge. Like I could fit my fist throught that thing lol! Is that the same CT as what went on the old 14?

I can't wait to see impartial test results from the track.

Shane, are you going to try to drag race or at all? Or just do the lsr thing like you said you were going to do on your big motor build. I know that you're not much on drag racing but it would be good to see what kind of numbers this thing puts down in the average riders hands instead of lee's. The bike looks great, get some rest then get back to work. We demand weight savings! Lol

I will definitely be taking the bike to the drag strip when they open in the Spring. I am pretty consistent at mid 1.4's on a 64" bike. I am usually over 200 lbs suited as well. On my lightweight 14, my pb was 8.93 in cold air, but 9.0's were the norm. I had maybe 600 passes on my old 14?

I haven't quite decided what i want to do, wb-wise. I am leaning towards 64=65".
