Looking at the two 14's. New one, more cc's ported head, 44mm throttle body, old one less cc's, 47mm throttle body, no porting. Seems to me that no point putting larger throttles on old one unless head is ported and flowed....IMO
Great results though!

Really By who? the guy that does them and the one that sells them? I've been told By a very good source who I will not name the gain 1 to 2 hp after all day of tuning.

If the rubber boots are not matched to TB's, they must be opened to 47, I can see small or no gains, can't just bolt on a 47 to a 44 hole , MISMATCHED rubber boot to TB or boot to head will cause TURBULANCE, TUMBLING very bad in the intake track , maybe even hurt power ?
A perfect 1 inch HOLE has Area of 1 sq in= flows = 87.1 CFM @ 10* water
44 TB's Diameter is 1.73 in have a Area = 2.35 sq in - .346 sq in blade and shaft =
2.004 sq in x 87.1 =
44 TB = 174 cfm @ 10*...... or...... 291 cfm @ 28* water
47 TB = Area = 2.68 sq* - .346 = 2.334 sq* x 87.1 =
47 TB = 203cfm @ 10*...... or...... 339 @ 28* water

I can prove THIS:
1. ZX-10R has 47 mm throttle bodies on (overstating the obvious) a much smaller engine.
2. Busa has/had 46 mm tb's and it's a slightly smaller engine.
Why are 44's all the 14 / 14R needs???

Do you realize the rpms the zx 10 turns compared to the 14? and the Busa has dual injectors as well so it takes more air. but hey do what you want . A month ago I was ready to send mine off until I talked to 4 shops that I consider very good shops and all will tell you the same as they told me. Do some calling tomorrow.

I tested a set... My personal SuperSport engine went from 208 to 211. I saw no reason to purchase a set for myself.

there you go 3 hp on a supersport enging by someone who knows how to tune! and I bet it was not an even 208 to an even 211 so somewhere in the 2 hp range.

So busa 166 with dino oil
zx14r 189 with the additives and 0 weight oil
busa add 8 hp with the oil change =174hp
zx14r add 5 hp with more miles =194 hp
zx14r add 10 hp with a tune and full exhaust remember that zx14ris not going to pick up that many hp with a tune and exhaust due tio its high performance factory settings =204 hp
busa add 16 hp (that is what i got with a tune and a full exhaust) =194hp
zx 14r add 30 lb weight (the bike is 20lb heavier plus the exhaust system weighs 41 lb whereas the busa exhaust is 51lb), so,when done up, 10 more hp than the busa but 30 lb more weight ?does not impress me that much but the time will tell...

Watch when the fully tuned 14R avgs 210-215hp with Pro drive <0 weight oil fully broken in. With a Brock's CT it will be within 5lbs of a gen 1 ZX14 set up the same and that's a fact.
Just remember- the gen 2 busa with bolt- ons was no quicker then a gen 1 14 set up identically.
A stock bike with stock header on pump gas just went into the 8' s at stock wheelbase.
Look in the mirror and say that doesn't impress you.

It would scare you... I have gone over 100 passes on my Diary 14 on <<0 in between changes, and not changed my oil filter for a whole season. I'm busy as hell all the time+ I'm lazy about that stuff ... It's no excuse- but it's reality. BTW, I don't recommend this behavior, but accelerated change intervals are a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. I can't even tell you how much to change it. Let you conscience be your guide, as much as any other oil - but no more.
Brock
FYI: we sell piles of this stuff, hundreds (maybe thousands?) of quarts per year. If guys had problems... EVERYONE would know these days.
Nice numbers Shane!
I'm nobody here and outsider with a little ole 1070 1k but I first used <<0 alyson back in 2001 when a builder/shop owner HP Cycles in Lake City, FL insisted I try it. On the than stock motor and piped 1k picked up 3 1/2 hp
Nobody carried this oil around here, not even the car speed shops, I never saw it online till several years later, his shop was a 75 mile drive one way.
I tried a number other oils just to see if i could find something less expensive and wihtout he drive . No luck!
Eexpensive but worth it .

One other note. I tried removing the air filter....the bike actually lost 3 hp on the next pull.
So, at this point I would say no gain from air filter removal....at least without remapping. That is something we will find out when the Power Commanders are available. I wasn't recording a/f on these pulls, but I will when I get the CT pipe on there.
