Because the slip on mufflers are for a different year model the pipe that links the muffler to the collector on the 2012 bike is different. So these pipes need to be modified to suit. Have a look at this.

I have some swingarm spools from a previous bike was just thinking tonight about fitting them and knocking up a rear stand, as I have a feeling the centre stands could be some time away.

Because the full system just bolts straight on there is no need to modify.
Be careful because Kawasaki increased the header size on the 2012 so you may not gain a lot by installing a full system that is designed for the earlier bike. My advise would be to wait until the manufacturers have had time to develop systems for the new bike.
There is no PC V available yet for this bike.
The reason I didnt wait is because I only want slip on's and I got my mufflers at the right price.

Have a look at this.

* Larger header pipes
(ø38.1 mm straight
>> ø38.1- ø42.7 mm
tapered) and a
reshaped collector
also add to the
increased
performance.

The addition of idle speed control motor allows for a smaller cat converter. This aids performance a bit too.

I had rear stand and spools in zx12 and struggled to get it on a stand by.myself. Not even game to try and get the bus on one....... Would cry if I dropped it. Ill keep pushing, spraying, pushing, spraying.......

BTW found a really good chain lube that was a bit messy, but done over 700km and its still on the chain! Real test will be when I wash it and take it for a burn. Seems to be where most fail.

Just giving you guys an update, fitted centre stand today while getting rear tyre replaced and threw her on the dyno. Only mods are full exhaust, no power commander and she spun up 202hp sae or 205hp std. Operator was very surprised. Interesting to see how ours compare.

Not guilty, the shop I bought mine from has sold 2 other green ones, & I think Pro have sold a couple as well, I saw 1 up the top of Glorious the other day going the other way.

Wow 202HP that's very strong.

My 2012 14R only made 173HP (SAE) on the dyno using a pair of TB carbon slip ons with P1-X power tips (too loud otherwise).

Not sure if its a lemon or thats to be expected for my setup.
