Congratulations cruiserman_83... The Australian 14R 'brotherhood' is expanding I need to see pics ASAP.

And who else downunder is getting a 14R? Come on you only live once guys!!!!

Yeah the brakes are fantastic no doubt about it. Because of the massive power, high weight and the brakes being the way they are (brilliant) this 14R is going to be a bike that utterly eats tyres for breakfast. I'll be keeping fresh rubber on my 14R thats for sure. Maybe we should all buy shares in Bridgstone/Dunlop? ;-)

It's great... I've only managed just over 400Kms, and now because the wifey is in Bali with her girlfriends I'm home 'grounded' with our three kids... and hence not doing any riding at the moment

But... it's very nice to walk into the garage and see my 14R waiting for me hehe. Only a few days left to wait and then I'm going to pile on the kilometers as I need to get to my 1st service ASAP.

Well my bike shop has just got the black in, $1990 ride away my partner recons it is wider in the ass then my 08 the bike seams easy to push around when on it. Decisions do i wait for the green 2months off number70 not sure what to do does the green really show the line's more than the black.

A 16 tooth front sprocket, fender eliminator and a tinted ZG double bubble screen are just waiting for the 1st 1000Km service to take place so they can be installed And don't worry... this weekend is going to see me clock up some serious mileage thats for sure!

Yeah a spark-black 14R is way better than the green 2012 14R... those blacked out side fairings on the Asia Pacific green ZX-14R bikes look terrible to me. If I got a green one I'd be getting the side fairings re-painted 100% green. Maybe in 2012 the green one will be revised to look better. Hopefully we'll see some awesome colours come out but I am in love with the clean and smart look of the black 14R.

I'd also love to see some retro paint options one day, perhaps like a modern version of the once mighty GPz1000RX

Chabged the oil to Castrol Power 1 Racing. 5w40 full synthetic at 600km. Gearshift and clutch seem a lot smoother.

Hi Greggy, hows the bike going? How many k's? Ive now got over 2100km on it. Have you had any issues with bolts vibrating loose? I losy the nut off of one of the bolts that secure the front fairing bracket to the steering head. 2nd one was loose and whole nose cone was bouncing around. Id check them asap.

Just 900Kms so far.

Yeah I just answered your other post... I've got something making a buzzing noise from behind the speedo/tacho at around 4000rpms that was not there when the bike was new. Perhaps a bolt has come loose?

1st service just around the corner - I'll let you know what they find.

Easiest way to get rid of vibrating rattles is to fit a loud exhaust.....

1000Kms is done, 1st service is done and 16T front sprocket has been fitted.

Now I just need the guts to twist the throttle fully open

Definitely more drive off the line. RPMs at 100Km/h are now sitting at just under 4000rpms (maybe about 3800) which is where it really starts to make serious power. Overall it feels good.

Fender eliminator is on too - makes the back end look a bit more sporty. I'm still waiting for the Zero Gravity DB tinted screen and watching Yoshi's website with interest.

Is your speedo still accurate? Does it interfere with TC operation at all?
