Seno's 2012 ZX-14R Dyno numbers with Brock's CT

Ok today was the big day but it was not without issues. First and foremost the noise reduction plug was delayed and I could not give a comparison between with & without it... Next Finding the wire to get the tach signal was different from the 2006-2011 White & red wire, now on the 2012 it is Black & Orange. Finally the nasty little error code 27 reared its head between EVERY fucking run..... KTRC was off. PAIN IN THE FUCKING ASS... Made it into quite the Project, turned a 30 minute job from start to finish into about 1 hour & 45 minutes.
All pulls were done in 5th gear, on a Dynojet 250i. Conditions were 64.43F, 30.25 In-HG, Humidity 29%

Uncorrected

STD

SAE

Air Fuel

Stout..torque production

Seno:

Looks like your CT pipe definitely is a good match for the 14R. Bummer on the wire hassles, but you out to have quite the beast up there once that thing is tuned and PCV is out. Most impressive (to me) is the torque numbers. SAE result is..stout too with 200HP and 115+ lb/ft. Interesting to see where your A/F's diverge (richer above 8k) from what others saw with pipes installed on their dyno pulls.

Well done bro,

Leo

Someone needs a power commander! It's hard to believe it recovered enough to break 200 SAE after leaning out to 14-1 in the middle.

Yes Leo, the AF mix was way off, with a PCV or ECU unlock I should be looking at 6-8 more HP.. (hopefully)

I'm thinking 210+ when it's tuned bro...

Seno:

When that thing is mapped/reflashed...tuned, has a say 1,000 miles on the clock and are you swapped to full synthetic with Petron....

Seno, got a question. On the original exhaust, on right hand side at the statt of the collector where the cat is, is there a bung for an oxygen sensor. After reading the service manual, it appears the Australian model will have one there and it wont reach to the position where the bung is on the CT single. Im thinking ill have to maybe extend the wiring or purchase an aftetmarket one. Dont like this not knowing

Seno,

It really is unbelievable that you rolled up with a true uncorrected 210 RWHP with just a pipe... and the dyno corrected down to the numbers that just a few weeks ago we had to spend countless hours to achieve.

Hours of mapping, rowdy oxygenated race gas, special drive chains, ceramic bearings, light weight oil , additive, air cleaner removed, hundreds of hours of exhaust development spanning two Continent's. Racheals 14 was the first I had ever see break 200 HP on my dyno... and she had a BST rear wheel and 47 mm throttle bodies to push her bike over.

Really, you guys have no idea how much work it took before this. I started trying in 2006 with the 14's. I can just break 200 with a Gen 2 Busa now, but its the same deal--I started learning in 2008 and and very few people know how to do it,still.

'Regular' guys are pulling this off with the new 14R - not me - not 'rocket scientists'. That says a lot.
