I purchased a used AH; I am trying to determine what ball park the bike will be with this exhaust. I don't want to send the 1600.00 on a CT. I don't have to have all of the apples, just want a few good ones.

If my bike produces 197 rwhp w/o a PC5, I am good with that.... It's when I start to add the other items, like TB, SS packge and good gas. I will be home for a few weeks next year and didn't want to ride with the stock baseball bats.... I am looking for an arm as well.

Thank everyone for their comments. I only paid 300 for the exhaust. I know I can sell it and get 150 over my cost when it's time to let it go.

For those who have a new 14R has any of you measured the original head pipe to see the tube length collector length and diameter front to rear and head pipe diameters. Also the length before the new pipe changes to larger pipe and the diameters of those. This might be a good to compare this to the current aftermarket pipes to see the factory tuning on the engine.

Just curious about people using the term "SMEG" and exactly what they are referring to. It could mean "street meg" or "short meg" as Brock's has both of these. I keep hearing that the SMEG is very loud, which seems believeable if people are referring to the short meg. However, I would think the street meg with the much longer baffle would keep the noise level in check. Anyone?

Another question: is there any information on the noise levels for these exhaust systems? We have to come in under 105dB or we cannot run at our speed record events.

Thanks for the info. Glad I addressed this before I placed the order cause I don't want something obnoxiously loud.....I was thinking all along the streetmeg was relatively quiet. Guess I'll check out the gen3 or gen4 canisters.

The ct single is pretty quiet. My friend has the 12 14r also[in blue]. But he has the ah2,WOW its way louder. We go riding and he drowns me out when we are crusining. I know they are diiferent bikes but i put out 201hp on the dyno and after me he put up 197hp,not that much difference but some. But i bought the ct single so my neighbors wouldn't want to kill me. And after hearing his i'm glad i did!!

Just curious. The ct single does make more HP, as what I understand. Why did Brock use the AH 2 on slugger instead of the ct single then?

The Alien head 2 is loud and very very deep tone ... I can sneak around if i take it easy ..lol.. Like that would happen .. I do have Brocks noise reduction plug and it does help with the DBs ...

AS far as Alien head Vs the CT HP i can't say.. But if someone sends me one i'll test it same day at the track ... Keep in mind if your loaner CT pipe goes faster i'm not sending it back ... But you will get back a very nice Alien head 2 ...lol

Smokin if your not joking, that would be a very interesting comparison. Wouldn't you love to go faster!

Has anyone tried Brock's QuietKore muffler, an option with the CT Single Full System?

I might get through scrutineering with that at our meetings (they use a dB meter) if it's designed to meet the SAE J2825 sound specifications.

I think it was Seno did a dyno pull comparo w/and w/o the QK on a CT. A search should pull it up.

Yes, I did the comparison... Same bike, same dyno, same conditions. Runs were taken within 3-5 minutes of each other. Graphs posted below QK is a bit quieter, not a HUGE difference but a bit. I also tested with the noise reduction insert and it took a bit more HP than the QK. Unfortunately I misplaced the dyno sheet.

QK, SAE

CT, SAE

Just toyz, are you building a all out drag bike? If not, there's not enough difference between these exhaust. Pick whichever one you like.
Best advice yet
I do think the advantage with Brock is his outstanding customer support and obsessively tuned to perfection maps. From what I've seen and heard his maps could save you a dyno trip that the muzzies might require......something to figure into the price.
