Using passing button
Hey guys here are some pictures and a quickl schematic if you want to use your pass button for a nitrous, air shifter or whatever you want that is setup to complete a ground path
It will be easier to left side switch housing out of bike 2 connectors of left side of ram air in between fairing
You will cut open harness just outside of housing and cut the red/white wire before it comes together with red/yellow wire that goes to high beam switch
Then just look at picture of schematic
The pass button just provides a ground path that activates a relay for the high beam can hear it clicking when you push the button
One more thing off the check list. later
The blue/black wire just goes to ground through the harness.

With the SPDT switch yo can still use your pass button like normal. Some people won't care about it then you don't even need the switch just hook it up solenoid or whatever your using it for

30 amps through pass button? I would connect that ground circuit to solenoid relay, not solenoid.

a solenoid only draws 7 to 8 amps I am sure the high beam light draws as much if not more than a solenoid and its doing the same thing just providing a ground path cause the wire you splice into is tied together with high beam switch wire. Had it a simililar way on my twelve for over 10 years.

I tought that red wire goes to high beam relay, not to bulbs? that´s how it is in wiring diagram.
anyway, I´m not going to argue that and didn´t know actual current on solenoid

No you are right it goes to relay for the headlight, but the current draw isn't that much on the solenoid a 30 amp relay is kind of overkill for small solenoids, I suppose if you had bigger solenoids might actually use more amps. Your only holding it for seconds at a time would have to be some serious amps to start heating wires and switches up. But I was just more trying to show which color wires to use for activating a stage or air shifter than how somebody might set up their system

Ok, thanks for clarification. I was curious because I´m planning to get N2O kit to my zx14 too.
