Lucky14 and Blue are home!!!

Phone pics at the dealer. I'll get better ones later.

Color is a subjective thing, but I LOVE this particular blue!

The black grills and the lowers are SHINY black with a small amount of sparkle like the color of the black 14R.

Since I've only ridden it about 100 feet, this will have to do for now. I'll get back with you later ..............

Nice!!!............I slightly lean towards the blue.........could you post a close up of the paint I'm trying to tell if its the same color as my 2004 ZX 12 was or if its a flatter less shiny blue?

History: I bought an 06 new and also an 08 new, so it's my first 14R, but not my first 14.

Working from memory, I would say that this one with the big wheelbarrow handles pulls about as hard as my 08 with SMEG and PC with Brock's map. Based on Wheelie's unicycle experience yesterday, I didn't nail it in first, but I did in second from about 3000 and it does pull hard and carries the front wheel, even with me "sortof" trying to keep it down. A light came on and for a second I thought it was something bad, but I realized that it was just the shift light (later found it was set at 7500) and I was only going to 8 - 8.5 k.

I did a few pulls in different gears, and I didn't really feel the secondaries being closed as Wheelies testing showed in the other thread. It never really "came on the pipe" like the 08, or especially the 06.

It was dark and 45 degrees, and with new tires and cold roads, I was a little tentative.

RG and Wheelie have already shown it to be a beast, so no need to take my word for it, but it felt like it to me.

The blue is different from the "old" 14's, but I don't know about the 12R blue.

I had a leftover seat and it fits and locks in perfectly. It's the cowl that's different.

Going to work tomorrow is going to be extra tough ......................

I noticed in the official pics they've moved the shift light to the top and made it bigger.
Do you think it will be bright enough not to need an aftemarket light?

exactly not the SAME !

zx-14 2006 is : CANDY THUNDER BLUE (the same fo the zx-12r 2002)

z-14r 2012 is : CANDY SURF BLUE (the same of the zx-6r 2009)

the SURF BLUE is just a little clearer, i prefer the THNUDER BLUE...

but CONGRATULATION guy

That's funny! I didn't even notice it when I took the pic.

That was at the dealer when he was showing me the controls.
