I have been watching a 220+ lb guy suited run 6.30's@118 in a head wind from hell, short shifting out of 1st at 7k and the bike still tries to pop up in 2nd.. Yall are crazy if you thing this bike is slow. And a handful of passes at that.

You need to read, no one on here said it is slow. just hard to ride at swb. and will be hard to go fast at swb.

I think a run of 6.34 is pretty darn good for wee's weight at swb. and sure with enough runs 6.20's would be there.

I trap 116 up here with a 15mph head wind.
Not getting full throttle in first is killing the mph and the head wind is not helping either.

Wow, some folks are never happy!! The bike has under 50 miles on it...and a large pilot!!! No power commander, and stiff headwinds!!

Great going, Wee...don't sweat the critics!

Inside the 1st 300' the bike was never at the right rpm at full throttle, he had to hold it back till damn near half track when he was wide open. A gen 1 zx14 can be wot from the time you come off the clutch, using the entire track to get the mph. Wee couldn' t use enuff of the track- too much power, plain and simple. And thats a good problem to have coming from the factory.

Exactly! bad ass bike, but not going to show it until 64 inch or better wheelbase. unless theres one hell of a pilot on it. not taking anything from wee when I say that. I could do no better! Not getting throttle open makes a hell of a difference in mph. Stand by my thoughts, 9 out of 10 of us will run faster on a gen1 then a gen 2 at swb.

i'm just got to tell you how stupid that sounds after lee shiertz rode a SWB to a 8.20 @175mph and the front wheel never left the ground .. do you need to see the video for proof ..

Use the low power mode in first it limits the power to 75% but keeps the low end torque. That is if you can change modes easily that would be about 135HP in first. Just a thought

Ok , your wrong with this comparison. first it had a slider clutch, second it had ballast on the front. not even the same.
