Ironic...it would not bother me a bit. Then again, I paint my race bodywork with rattle cans.

You can see in the picture the CT flange is still smaller than the port .. I guess that is the 70 thousand Brock was talking about..

By the size of that exhaust port, is this an indicator that the previous head's ex port could use some opening up??

I remember when i installed my CT on my 09 i could run my finger in the port and not feel where the flange ended and the port started .. very very good fit with the port ... On Wees port looks like you could feel it where it meets the head .. Maybe it's just the picture but it looks like you can see it ..

To know the alignment precisely, the flange needs to be installed and bolted down.

When you get your Shane bolt it up tight and stick your finger all the way into the port and drag it out and see if you feel the flange .. On my 09 you could not feel it at all ..

I'll do the same when i get my new Alien 2..

No Wee i'm looking past that point .. Looks to be a shadow around the sides and upper part of the flange ... Could be just the picture making it look that way .. Only way to tell is stick your finger in there and see if you feel it .

Hey Wee
Which CT system did you install? Single or Dual CT's? Is the system updated for a 2012 or does the 06-11 fit without the radiator shimming? I have the Dual CT System that was on my 07 collecting dust down stairs and I'm happy to hear that you didnt have to shim the radiator.
Thanks
Snuffy

It's just the pic. The inside ID of the flange is bigger than the exhaust gasket, so that's all that matters. The pipe that fits into the flange is maybe 3 or 4 thousands smaller than the flange, just a guess based on my fingertip micrometer.

Correct. I was holding the flange with a screwdriver and by holding it in place at the top of the port, the flange was slightly out at the bottom of the port.

My CT is still in the box so maybe I can get more detailed measurements when I install it.

Wee,
An 'anti reversion ridge' is intentional. I wish there was more of a mismatch to tell you the truth.

Lee - no. The Alien Head flange inserts inside of the headpipe. .070 smaller than the inlet of the new stock headpipe.
