Looking at your cutting off issue: Does he even have a PC3 or PCV installed? What mods are done to the bike? I had a similar issue with a loose battery cable, it would only die when I put on the high beams intermittently, wound up being a loose battery cable.Very vague but I would bet on a loose battery cable, check all your wires, make sure they are fully pushed into the terminals. You did mention quite a few mods for cooling, personally I went with the engine ice and it did help quite a bit.

Mods are the most common cause of problems. Especially loose connections, and especially on the PC. Bad grounds can cause intermittent problems. Cutting a PC out of the circuit is easy and will let you know if that is the issue. Also, a lean AFR will run hotter.
Battery is easy to check. Take it out and get a dealer to check it for you, or Autozone will even do it.

+1 for loose ground terminal on battery.

mine had similar issues. first i was thinking that cause is TPS zero-throttle calibration, but when electrics eventually died totally after several idle speed stalls (only when hot!) , i spotted actual cause.
