I wish you could have unbolted the stock cans for at least one pull. Thanks for the info and charts.

Great info. Thanks.
Can you confirm this is a production bike, from a dealer?

So what are your impressions compared to your current 14 race bike, I know that bike ran pretty good, I raced Aaron a few times at Barona.

When you say production bike, are we saying that they are showing up at dealerships now?

Or through some other means?

The graph looks alot like my 2000 12R 1270cc w/ 14:1 CR.

Only my 1270 makes 100 ft. lb. at 4,000 (peak 111), and revs higher. Peaks at 190-202 h.p. depending on dyno and day.

Still very impressive for a STOCKER!

Well if it's like my dynojet 200 dyno a stock gen 1 zx14 makes 162 give or take a few .. A modded gen 1 makes 174 give or take a few HP ... So 187 hp is a big jump for sure ..That is a 25 HP gain from a Gen 1 zx14 ... and 13 HP over a Modded gen 1 zx14 .. [/quote

Yeah .. that is awesome!
...

Yup awesome! Now add 12 to 15 hp for a pipe and tune .. 200+ hp to the tire !!

Roys 1530 motor made 197 on my dyno and let me tell you that bike was a hand full to ride .. It would trap 163 MPH every pass and that was with NO body work ( Necked ) ..
...

so a 1440 can hp more than what a 1530 and all the mods can ..

As Shane points out, holding it to the limiter means everything is right, especially the exhaust, as modded 14s (no R) dynos would look like this with exhaust and PC.

Here is my 08 (Bone Stock) for comparison. Sure looks WEAK!

Lets just hope smokins dyno and this one reads about the same, if they do this bike will be a monster. I pick up almost .30 with a 30 shot and that's basically what your looking at!

Great numbers! Looking at how flat power is from 9000rpm, anyone think KHI is closing flies to control power/emissions like they did on zx10r??? Just a question.

The power on the 2012 zx14r is incredible and so are the other improvements! The first time I rode ours I was shocked at how well the bike handled and how comfortable the bike is. The bike seemed to steer lighter than the previous version and gave the feel of a smaller bike. The seat is much more comfortable. There are a ton of little improvements that when added up feel HUGE. I a VERY impressed with the 2012 zx14r it is a giant step ahead of the gen 1 bike.

Drag racers will love the oil pan, Of course I don't know if it was already done on the 2010 0r 2011 but they moved the drain plug to the front of the pan. And the Roaring Toys post is spot on, all the other improvements make this an incredible bike!

what was the a/f ratio on the bike.... I am curious because on the gen 1, the bike went extremely rich above 10k; I hope this bike doesn't go extremely lean on the top side.

Looks more like some muffler restrictions combined with catalyst in the exhaust it has to add up by the high revs. That and the 44mm throttle plates having all those ccs sucked through a straw. My prediction is a full system and 47mm throttle plates and its going to reach some high potential.
