Not yet. I'll post once available. On my trip to BST in 2008, I saw a previous study by the university of Johannesburg on the feasibly of carbon wheels for formula 1 car use. It was 2 pages thick! I suspected cornering fatigue would have been a primary concern, but the main problem was actually heat generated by the rotors during braking. Enhancements in resin technology, just in the last couple of years are yielding amazing results in this area.

Amazing how long these things take to get to production reality. I think it was '99 when the Formula SAE team in my college was working on making their own CF wheels. Only reason it was nixed is cause they woulda eaten up the entire budget (you had to be able to make the car for a certain amount assuming a 1000 unit run).
Has anyone tried filling the tires (and any voids in the spokes, etc) with helium for further weight savings? Thought, I find myself wondering if that would actually help any, given that weight isn't the issue, mass is...

Nice car! And I've been a fan of BST for awhile too and have them on my 14.
However, carbon fiber wheels for cars (and cf/ magnesium combinations) have been around for quite some time. I've personally driven a friend's GTR with HRE wheels.

Not that I've seen. Only others I've come across are the special dymags for the GTR, and those were 10G (not sure if a piece or for a set) and only had CF rim, with magnesium hub & spokes. The pics kinda look like these are full CF, which i for one have not seen before.

I believe both HRE and WEDS have full cf wheels but not for "quite some time" as I stated before, just within the last few years.
A google search for "full carbon fiber wheel" showed contradicting facts to which brand manufactured the first one.
