Predictions for 14R crate to mod
How fast will the 2012 zx14R go when Rg does the out of the crate to moded (at the dragstrip)?
The winner will receive a gift from my current location (somewhere other than the US)
Please provide your prediction and why:
Mine:
Rg,
-Since I have a new 10 and seen yours run.... I think initially, it will be close stock wheel base... there is no ECU mod to be done; I am predicting Rg will run 9.teens with stock exhaust.
-mods: lowered/strapped/suspension/geared./...
-With exhaust: lowered/strapped/susension/geared/wheel base/tuned....hands down the new 14 should run some low 8:60s

From Rickey's post on Oct. 30, 2007:
Well fellas;
Another day at the race track yielded yet faster et's from the new ZX14.
"Let's go over any and all modifications done to this point:
1. Lowered
2. No airfilter
3.pump gas (87 octane)
4............................there is no 4
to clear any questions, STOCK PIPES,AND SECONDARY FLIES IN
PLACE;
Atco Raceway
temp 63 degrees
humidity 19%
30.19 barometric pressure
adjusted altitude 100ft below sea level"
He made several passes that day, but this one seems to be the best:
.071
1.51
3.97
5.98
121.39
7.74
9.257
150.15
Rickey claims 3 tenths and 5 mph for the 2012, so do the math and that puts it in the 8's at 155 with stock pipes! Not sure I believe THAT ......................
On the other hand, we are never going to see a DA of -100 in the Dallas area!
Oh yeah - prediction: 9.09 @ 153.

Conditions play a major role in the outcome of a drag race..... It is getting cooler, but I think he will make some runs in November at the MFG Cup @ SGMS ... The weather should be nice, hell I better change my prediction.
Either way, I guess I need to make a cut off on the predictions, huh?

IF it makes the power Ricky is claiming it should run 9 Teens with my little but on it ...the 2012 zx14 should be making more power stock than my 09 zx14 made modded ( 175 hp ) . I ran 9.11 @ 152 with 175 HP ... If the new zx makes in the 180s HP stock 9 teens should be no problem ..

From Brock Diary Part 1 on the 2006 14, strap, lowered, stock exhaust, pump gas:
With Brock riding at 200 lbs. suited:
1.6419
4.2430
6.3549
116.27
9.7611
142.24
Minus 3 tenths and add 5 mph would be:
9.46 @ 147 for "average" rider ( ) and average air on the 14R - predicted???
Too many numbers, too little time ...........................
