Looking at the frame again , looking at the two windows on top of the frame you can see daylight , it looks like the opening in the frame where the TBs come into the air box is no longer 4 round holes .. Could this be the hole for the blower intake ? Hummmmm ..
Think Bmw K16GT Single throttle body is the way they're going as in for C14.

relooking at that oil line and the cut away of the block it looks to be a nozzle spraying oil up under the piston .. I guess that would keep the piston cooler and the piston pin lubed better .. Cooling the piston with oil would let them raise the CR a bit .. Funny part is they do that on factory blown and turbo charged motors to keep the piston cooler ...

I'm not saying it's get getting a blower but why would they do the oil cooling lines and air box change ?

on the bike today , there is a square opening where a plate with the 4 holes for the throttle bodies come is welded in. I think the video does not have that plate installed.

the original motor also has oil squirters , but today they are drilled from the oil passaged to the main bearings. the external lines might have been added to improve oil feeds for the mains/rods.

Purposefully left blank so as not to give it away just a hint. That is only a computer animation of a frame.

After reading some of your post sparked a search... why do you need crown cooling nozzles in a N/A engine?

All the research I have found about using a device like this supports what (smkn14) was mentioned earlier.... surpercharge or turbo charged engine... However, Suzuki has been using this method to cool thier pistons aswell.... There are several car MFGs that uses this method to cool piston combustion temps....

Does this mean it will be a supercharge bike, not sure... just food for thought......

Justoyz2 i'm just guessing ...But the oil under the pistons , lower dome of the piston and the window in the frame tends to lead to supercharging .. Like i said it's a guess at best ..Kawi has plans for a supercharger we do know that , it may not show up this year on the zx14 but it's coming at some point ... I tend to think we will get a 1440 now with the bike set up for supercharging down the road ..

I also ran aftermarket rods on my 1570.

but it was my understanding no clearancing was required unless you went with a 7 mil crank

I went back to day and enlarge the picture of the motor, if you look close you can see a small jet turned upward towards the bottom of the piston shooting oil upwards. the original mains have small jets that do this but it Rob's oil from the mains and rod bearings I'm sure this will help that problem. You can get by with a 4 mm crank without grinding the Rod bolt.but the 5 mm you will have to grant the #4 rod bolt.

Lee,

Yeah, I hope they do supercharge the bike. It would really move the industry where it should be. Many of us ol-school should remember the turbo charged bikes of old.

I have found that it does assist with better durability for high revving engines, honda does it as well as cheverolet, but forsure the diesel industry does those with their forced induction applications. I also found a chart which shows the cooling factors; (100 degree) reduction in piston temp. The main factor is the piston designs allow for oil lubing.

looking at the frame, I know the bike will have a single exhaust, there is a mount on the right side, close to where the rearset mounts. it's just like that on the Gen1 zx10.

Problem with a factory supercharger is it limits the race-ability of the bike (drag racing)

Real street, prostreet.. Basically you'll have to run supercharged. you won't be able to turbo OR nitrous.

They're basically setting up the platform for you. It may be me but i dont think it's a good idea.

Factory turbo, i'm in though!

There selling streetbikes. Not dragsters. All but a few would be happy with a stock blown bike.Gotta be mods from there like smaller imput gear or pulley for the blower.Always can screw with the gearing.

actually it doesn't limit the race-ability, because there aren't any sanctioned SS bike classes any longer. In real street, you can run what you won't, but the clutch is the limiting factor, no lock ups
