2012 ZX 14 website

Hello, everyone this is my first post after reading many great articles on this website. I just wanted everyone to see that the 2012 ZX14R has a website now, even showing a picture of the engine. Maybe someone can see and tell everyone if changes are new as I can't. Here is the website ninja14r.kawasaki.com. Hopefully that link works if not type it in on a google search. The picture of the engine is on the phenomenon video.

it's not the same block, that line that goes across the front of the motor and is attached to the cylinder bores I thought was adding water lines but the more I look at it it may be air bypass vowel, the old motor has bypass Windows between cylinders to help air move back and forth as the cylinders go up and down this caused a problem with long stroke because the oil ring would get into the window.it could be an improved oiling system, I don't think it's a water line because it going to the oil pan? I noticed the top of the frame has a new ram air opening? it doesn't look right to me. the Boor spacing looks the same no help there. I guess the next question would be did they move the clutch basket away from the crank that was the main holdup on a long stroke. We didn't see the cylinder head so maybe they will still put the ZX10 on it.

I noticed the better oiling system and the coolant system, look at the rods in the engine. They appear to be stronger in comparison to the previous years models. The oil pan looks like the same one from the zx10. I am sure the bike will be able to go alot lower, because of the design (straight line) underneath the bike.

We are just a few more days away.... they are really keeping a closed lid on this new model

Looks like an oil line on the front of the motor . I would like to say it's a water line like the old zrx1200 had but it's not coming from water like the zrx1200 , it looks to be coming from the oil pan ... Pistons look to have lower dome for the added stroke .. Rods look the same to me but it's hard to tell from a video ..Different sprocket cover .. Oil pan looks different .. As far as the frame it looks the same to me ...I'd love to see the head but i guess they are keeping that hidden for now , wonder why ?

relooking at that oil line and the cut away of the block it looks to be a nozzle spraying oil up under the piston .. I guess that would keep the piston cooler and the piston pin lubed better .. Cooling the piston with oil would let them raise the CR a bit .. Funny part is they do that on factory blown and turbo charged motors to keep the piston cooler ...

Looking at the frame again , looking at the two windows on top of the frame you can see daylight , it looks like the opening in the frame where the TBs come into the air box is no longer 4 round holes .. Could this be the hole for the blower intake ? Hummmmm ..

I'm not saying it's get getting a blower but why would they do the oil cooling lines and air box change ?

THE OIL LINE all that it does is squirt oil on the wrist pin and bottom of piston.. that about the only change i see other than a differant face on the same design sprocket cover .. the oil pan is the same oil pan the connie uses that has that same oil port on the pan for the vtech .. yes question is what they did to the clutch to get the stroke ..

AND THEY KEPT THEM FUKKING WELL NUTTZ

Roy did nothing to the clutch with a 5 mill stroker so why would Kawi do anything with a 4 mill stroke ?

i'm going off the info from this forum that a 5mil will cause the rod bolts to hit the clutch ring gear and the cases .. unless you cut the nut down to almost nothing .. ask roy again if he didn't have to mod that engine.. this cat right here(Y2KZX12R) said something to that effect.. i DON'T BUILD STROKERS SO I HAVE NO HANDS ON INFO ..

I will ask Roy, slow and shane while i'm at it , but i don't remember anyone talking about .. Maybe you would have to grind some off at 5 mill but it may be ok with a just 4 mill .. Maybe kawi just changed the type of rod bolt so it would clear ..My money is the clutch is unchanged ..

If it's making more power i would think the last thing kawi would do is make the clutch smaller or weaker .. 6 days we will find out ..

Looking at Shane 1530 build he used after market rods and with cap screw bolts , so he may not have had to grind off anything to make them work .. Roys motor also has after market rods ..

Well i hope they made it taller .. But they could have used shorter rods ..Or moved the ring pack up, or they could have done both the ring a shorter rod .. The easy way would be to make the block tall by 2 mill.. 2 mill would not make it any harder to get to the plugs ..
