He said that it was funny that i said blower because he got a memo from Kawi about a new blower . He got a memo a few weeks back from Kawi that stated " If replacement parts are needed for the new Super Charger you will able to get them from a local GM dealer , the unit shares some of the same parts as the Caddy CTS-V supercharger "

Sounds like it's related to watercraft...I thought the supercharged rumor was dispelled already? I can't imagine any reason they would supercharge the 14 when it can produce significantly more hp reliably and with few mods.

Could be watercraft , But it did say NEW supercharger not OLD supercharger .. Hummmmmm ...
I hope a supercharged zx14 is in the works or at least a more powerfull zx14 for now .. I'm starting to believe we are gettting nothing but a restyled zx14 with some up grades from the 2011 ZX10 along with ABS .. That would be a shame if that is all we are getting .. But Ricky said it's fast !! Faster than the zx10 !! We will wait and see...

Ok I have seen the video.. where do you guys all get the details from? I watched it and watched it again frame by frame.. I don't see but 1 frame of headlight and it's not enough to make a judgement call about what they look like. It's obvious they kept the bubble running light, that's about it. Shape is not very evident otherwise. Also the frames showing what appears to be the grilles, it's hard to say really. I think people are reading way to far into this. I don't see what everyone else is seeing for sure. There is simply not that much detail in these videos. At least not to make any assumptions about style yet. The magazine we have seen so far does not appear to be what this is either. I think we are in for a surprise.

We all, the headlight view is consistant witih that yellow/black bike. The G grills are alot thicker than before.... You have to sum up the tease pics, comments from folks like Jim (CNC) and wrap it up... the Hp's are going to be nothing like you are use to seeing.. that alone tells me we are in for one hell of a bike. The sounds illustrates a single exhaust, it's too loud for duals. I am unsure on the whine that you hear after the key was turned off. I believe it to be the cooling fan, because it starts again when the key is turned on....
I am hoping for a supercharged production bike. Kawi already has this in their lineup in the form of a jet ski

Tell ya what Lee. If you buy one when it first comes out ASAP then I will do a SS head for you no charge to test on the bike. Or if a CNC port job is warranted then I'll do that free for you to test also. But typically on a stock sized 1352cc zx14 engine cnc porting isnt needed.
Of course you will need to get baseline passes in the 1/4 mile, then lowered, then 6" arm extensions. Then you put the head on and see what the SS head can do on the 2012 ZX-14.

HMMMM!!!!!.................I wonder if the new ZX 14 will have bigger cams and more displacement to take advantage of that porting??????????

Thanks Jim .. Nobody in their right mind could turn down an offer like that !! .. But Jim i may not be able to take you up on that , at least not right now .. What you and others here don't know is my health is very poor right now .. I can't drive a car much less ride a motorcycle .. I feel i have got somewhat better but i still have trouble with ballance problems.. At this point i'm not going to buy a bike just to have it sit in my shop and look at it .. That would just kill me to do that ..Hell it kills me that a new zx14 may be coming and i'm unable to ride the damn thing..Anyway thanks for the offer and i hope i can take you up on it soon ..

Kawi showed the bike off at their dealer meeting today. My buddy who was there got all excited saying the 4 more mm of stroke is going to make this faster than any production bike out there. Off the line maybe, but I'm more of a show than a go guy so that won't help me much - ha! First thing I'd do is take off that huge smokestack looking pipe. He said Kawi commissioned a custom version that was there on launch day which seems like kind of a bold move to me.
