ZX14 bracket bike needs better consistency, suggestions?

I have an 08 ZX14 stretched 8" over, CO2 air shifter, 40 hp dry shot, lowered, bike is stock engine.
Im debating on which way to go as far as being very consistant. Im looking to go more into e.t. bracket racing, than index racing, better payouts in bracket around by me.
I was thinking of going to a slider, hayes convertible clutch, or MTC clutch.
Also thinking about a strut, wheelie bars and a slick.
Who has experience with using any of these combinations and what are the results.
Can I get away with somehow using a slider or the convertible clutch and no wheelie bars, but still be able to use a delay box and still be consistant without flipping on the launch??? This is my main issue, if anyone has some input on this it would be much appreciated.

You can setup the slider to be as slow as you want.

But honestly, why do all that? Just how consistant are you trying to be?

If you're trying to be consistant, take the nitrous off first of all. Theres nothing consistant about nitrous without a ton of monitoring, maintanance, and setup.

I had a single stage lockup set up where i could throw the clutch lever away on the tree. 1.40-1.41 60's consistantly, group'd between 8.64-8.70 every pass. Lights were .040-.060.

No delay box, no strut, no wheelie bars, no slick, no slider, i didn't even have an autoshifter (which can add even more consistancy).

Just how consistant are you trying to be here?

As deadly consistant as possible... I came off a car tire wheelie bar bike and that thing was consistant down to the .01-.02 in the 1/4 and about the same in the 60'. Like I said im looking to use this bike for e.t. bracket racing. My nitrous is only a oh shit button if something goes wrong off the line, its not setup as progressive or anything like that.
I am running an mtc lockup right now, 1.47 to 1.60ish 60' times, but never consistant, using 3 soft springs and 2 stock springs. I cannot stay consistant. This is why im looking to see if a slider would be better, or wheelie bars/ strut...

Your numbers look great, I would be happy with that!!! Im looking to be able to throw the clutch away on the tree. That is what is killing me, sliding out the clutch different every time. How did you get your lockup to do that (able to "throw" the clutch lever away)????

dont take it the wrong way, but if you can't be consistent now you may never be, your bike will run within 3 hundreds all night, just practice more with what you have.

Your clutch is not setup correctly. Point blank. If you can't throw the clutch lever away and get a consistant 60' time, it's not right.

Every bike is different, but it sounds like you have WAY more static pressure then i was running.

Another thing to note, other then the static pressure (i.e. the force applied to the clutch by the springs) is the weight on the arms. If you have too much weight on the arms, it will cause the bike to bog. You'll lose mph and lose time in the 60'/330'

got a two step? if the throttle is always pinned before you even launch, that's one more variable taken out of the equation. same goes for getting the lockup tuned for a throw instead of a slide. adding a strut will ruin the bike. you want a dynamic chassis if you're running a conventional motorcycle tire. *especially* if you're stretched. the more weight transfer, the more traction. once you got the traction dialed in, that's another variable taken out...

In most Street et you can't have a slider or wheelie bar. You don't need that stuff. Take the spray off.
My bike is very consistant. Last time out I believe my last 5 passes were within .01 of each other. You still have to be consistant.

I have a Gen II for sale in the classifieds. Very consistant. You'd need to send it to MTC and have the gears changed though. They charge 120 to swap the 06-07 gear for a 08+ gear.

Hey 06redzx14, how much you looking to sell that gen 2 for? This gen 2 is a complete kit, besides having to get the gears switched? I will have to look for your ad. Thanks for the heads up.
