busa or new zx14 plans

Im thinking about doing themed bike but i dont know what bike to chose. My plans are to do a Ferrari themed busa or the new 14 that supposed to come out next year..i want to go with the classic ferrari red with a splash of yellow on the smaller parts and chrome on either bike with the Ferrari badge.

1.What you guys think?
2.Should i wait on the new 14 or go with a gen2 busa?
3.Which will look better with the color scheme?

This is a zx14 site. I hate to be the smartass, but do you think we would say go get a Busa?

i really want one of the rumored 14's but if those dont have any significant improvements i might go with a current model 14 and get a big bore kit....will a big bore kit be any good for just street riding? the main reason i wanted a 14 is because everyone has a busa and no one around here even know about it. but i wanted a busa because it have a huge market for aftermarket parts

If you are planning a custom, you might want to consider the Busa. Parts, new and used, are often more plentiful and cheaper. And a big bore kit is much easier to install in a Busa.

.will a big bore kit be any good for just street riding?

You will burn more gas, for sure. I'm pretty sure I got less than 35 mpg when my bike was stock and it was already way more power than I could ever handle in any of my most severe sport riding on the street. The straightline performance of a stock 14 (or busa ) is no contest for any cars out there and to use it near other traffic is plain crazy. A bigger 14 would/will be cool for bragging rights but totally unneeded on the street unless you are out by yourself playing. A turbo that can be switched on and off might make a lot more sense.

just get what ever bike that looks best to you. can't comment on the modding cuz I have only done the stuff to my 14 but I can attest, the baseline performance is the same. my 14 has a touch more bottom end and it feels somewhat more edgy . my busa feels smoother at +100 and more predictable in corners. Still, fastest I have ever gone was on the 14 and I have cornered until I dragged hard parts with that bike. bottom line, get the bike you like the best for looks or if you are interested in doing some exotic mods, the busa will have a lot more available. There is everything available that you need for either bike to do basic modding. pipe PC wheels etc. I have a ton of that crap on my 14.

If you do a 'Busa, everyone will think you copies it from SSB. Of course I favor the 14, but there IS a lot of aftermarket for both bikes, although there is more for the Busa. You want a custom bike to be unique, right? Then there is no other choice but the ZX-14, IMHO.

why wouldn't you big bore the Booza? Cause they are so much faster than a 14?

.......I know my opinion is that the regular 1352 offers a lot more than almost any of us can use on the street but I must admit, if Kaw makes the 1430, I might just have to punch mine out. For street, the 14 is all about bragging rights and it always was. Nobody goes all out on the street and another 100 cc isn't gonna make a big dif anywhere but the track..........but yeah, I relate. If it is there and everybody else has it, I have to have it too.

The rumored 14 looks like it has a big ugly rad sticking out the front too. Prolly need that with 100 more cc eng dsp. There will open up a market for +sized radiator mods on the old 14. That, I doubt I would do because it would look soo horrific.
