White smoke coming from exhaust pipes
A few days ago I put some coolant in the reservoir, because I noticed it was very very low. So I bought what I thought was coolant because it said coolant on it.. but it was water wetter. A few days later, well yesterday actually the bike began to smoke...White smoke coming from the tailpipes. I pray its not a blown headgasket.. but if it is..how hard is that to fix, and or do it yourself. And if i cant do it myself, about how much would it cost with labor if I supply the parts.
This is for a 2006 zx14 a little over 12000 miles. I checked to see if there was any leaking coolant, but i didnt see any.

I've never heard of a 14 blowing a head gasket, but hrs sure has the usual symptoms. Check the oil. If you have coolant in your oil you can pretty much know it's a bhg.

when you first start the bike the pipe will condensate and white smoke but if the engine is arty well warmed up it should not white smoke. I have never seen a 14 blow a head gasket not saying it couldn't happen just hadn't seen it. If you could find somebody with a radiator pump you could pump it up to like 18 pounds and see if it leaks down, the system is rated for 21 pounds.if it leaks down you have a problem but if it holds steady probably something else.

I hate to say it, but yes your burning coolant if you got white smoke coming out of your tail pipe.
You can do the job yourself if you have mechanical skills.
First thing to do is remove the engine from the frame.
I'd pull the motor and send it off to a shop to save money.
U probably need to get the cylinder head mechined .
Sorry about your dilemma. Almost unheard of in the zx14, shit happens.

So you think water wetter caused this problem?
I doubt that.

I don't think water wetter had anything to do with it. Your suppose to drain your coolant completely then replace it with water wetter for the track. Just a safety thing. We don't want methol hydrate antifreeze on the track from a bike going down and loosing it's coolant.
Sounds like your problem started before you topped up your coolant.
I feel your pain lol. Good luck getting your ride back on the road.
