Paint Idea....
I own a 2007 zx14 in white/red limited edition, the one with the flames. I was thinking about painting my bike. I LOVE the white the red im not soo hot on. I was thinking about keeping the bike stock white but replacing all the red with midnight blue pearl. Powder coat the rims, and replace the stock decals with blue. Basically keep the same design but change it to blue... opinions?

Of course, it is strictly opinion but 07 SE is one of the best colors ever made.
Switching blue for red sounds like a fine choice....i don't think going with a dark blue + stock white would be the best choice.....maybe if you also had an equal amount of lighter blue....but then it will be a mostly blue bike with some white. I would pick a blue that is going to contrast strongly with the engine colors (black and the engine covers must be usual dark grey like all the other 14s).
I would go with a middle tone blue not too much darker than that painters tape. That is close to the color of most anodized parts you can pick up (if you are going to also do some modding dodads).
IMO, the 07 SE NEEDS the flame decals to carry of the design, That detail really fininshes that look off. I am not so crazy about white 07s without the flames. I would get some in blue flame decals made.

Ive seen a few L.E. 07's around my area (all of which had the decals stripped) and it just didn't look good. it looked wayyyy to plain. I dont think i would add doo dads that were anodized. And instead of doing decals i would have the flames painted on.

I think the 07 SE looks bad ass, sticker flames and all! Minus the red wheels and grills!

+1 a very nice design for the 14. The black over is nice along with the few red accents you have. The frame is also red on a stock 07. I was picturing STULER's bike withblue frame. That is pretty much all tere is to switch over if one was to stay with the original scheme and alter color only. OH, yes....and the wheels.
instead of doing decals i would have the flames painted on. Sounds cool. You can stick with the OEM design and just go with black/blue or a deep blue with light contrasting blue highlights---the OEM flames are two color as yo know.

Rook the frames are not red on the 07 SE's they are black, I think you might be thinking of the red swingarm's on the 08 SE's.

+1 The frames on these bikes are black. A red frame would look awkward lol
