Cut pans, OSR or BMC stock or Adams
Here is my bikes setup,
63" wheel base.
Lowered in the front 3/4" by sliding tubes up in clamps.
Rear lowered with roaring toys links in middle hole.
Rear shock re valved for the extension and my weight, re sprung with race tech spring (one up from stock)
Now here is my delema, long ago I broke off half of my drain plug guide when the bike was stock, so during this build I figured I'd have the pan cut down to reduce the chance of busting the pan especially after lowering the bike a bit. From what I've gathered the BMC cut pan (I bought the bmc one) is the same as the OSR pan with the exception of the GLYPTOL coating that BMC uses. I'm worried about the reduced depth of the sump, has anyone used a cut pan for everyday use and high speed runs?

You are over thinking this "build" that you are doing. Just get a Clems cut down pan and call it a day.

Clems is now OSR now right? If so then the BMC pan is the same thing and that's what I just bought.. Looks like I'm good to go then.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I was not aware of OSR untill after I bought my pan.
Have you seen any issues with using your cut pans for street or top speed runs? A few of us were thinking there might be risks with the sump being shallower.

Like he said, we have been running his pans since 06, no problems.
There have been a few people that purchased pans from other companies and the outcome wasn't great. I remember two guys that the pickup wasn't cut the right length and one was missing a oring I believe.

When it shows up, I'll post up very detailed photos of the pan and pickup tube. I'd appreciate everyone's critique on it. I expect it to be high quality work from my experience with BMC re valving my rear shock.
