Did the one with "brock only" parts go fast enough to set a new record if the one with jim's head wasn't there?

"As I told you I made the pipe on the bike because no one makes a pipe of the dimensions the engine needed and since you insisted that the BST wheels had to be in used conjunction with your pipe I said that wouldn't be possible and I did not want to put a brocks emblem on the megaphone because its not a brocks megaphone. If I did that would be misleading."
Jim, are you saying the record setting bike did not even have a real Brock's pipe on it? DAMN!

Sorry I was refering to the Competition CNC zx14 bike. Brocks slipons were on both bikes.
The green bike with our new CNC ported head set both records in both the fuel and Gas classes.

Yes, the black bike went 203 and that would have been good enough to set both class records.
Brocks slip-ons do make power. you cant take anything away from that for sure.

Whatever Rob Muzzy did in the past made no difference to me when I decided to buy the M14. There were only 2 reasons why I bought this exhuast system.
Cost $795 to my door
Ground clearance +1" more the any non-sidewinder
I really do not see how map support is a selling point becuase I have run EVERYONE's map and realized on the dyno, we have to change ALOT from those maps and I mean all of them.
I run Brock's bolt-ons on my bike and they serve their purpose without issue, which is what I care about.
I as a consumer will buy parts from Brock's-so long as they work for me. Same goes for Muzzy. Unless someone sponsors me or compensates me in some way-
I see both points of view in this thread, and agree with both in general.

Yep. I agree.....I had a M14 for several years....still would but I sold the 2007 14 with it on it. :-(
Maybe next year when arm heals I will look for a Metallic Red 2010 14 and buy another m14. :-)
I have 8 different maps for a 14 not much difference from a Brocks or a Muzzy M14 flies out map.
Adjust map on dyno A/F to where you live. Laugh it up but Ivans data logged map was "Smoothest" in the Ozark Mountains.
Not quickest doing roll on's back home at 60 in 2nd. Cost you a 1/2 bike in every gear to be smooth, a little rich..

I agree ..
Jones performance tuned mine as the Brocks map as the base map and he made minor changes to gain the few hp and smooth it out.
For street or occasional track days, it wouldn't have been worth tuning.
Yes, maps are worth $when buying a exhaust.

Well Pats bike was very very fast .. But his best numbers were done with a light rider and 69 inch wheel base in good air ... Just as mine were .. I tried a few different maps and pipes and found Brocks race map and pipes to work best for me .. My zx14 migh not be thet fastest stock motor zx14 but i think for the way it was set up it was damn close to the fastest ..

I never heard about that offer .. I would have been happy to run any bike with the same mods as mine that was using a Muzzy pipe and map .. Ibad you ever seen a zx14 with the same mods as me go as fast as mine did ? There could have been and have not heard about it , lots of guys don't post their numbers so maybe you know somethiing i don't ..

I do feel the 09 is faster than the 06 ,, My 06 went 8.77 on MR9 while my 09 went 8.76 on pump gas .. But you have to look at the mods of Pats bike Vs my bike .. Pats bike if i remember all the details was 69+ inches long , he removed a lot of weight on his bike and that included after market wheels, MR9 fuel .. And lets not forget Pat is one of the very best riders out there .. My bike had no weight removed other than the pipe swap , i was at 62 inches and running pump gas .. You just can't compair the pipes or maps that way ..You would have to compair two bikes with the same mods and the only differance being the pipes and maps..

all i've got to compare is muzzy VS brocks . you guys said all the fastest bikes are brocks bikes .. clearly thats not true .. now we crawfish into same bike same pipe same map.. this worst than grudge racing .. what you need the hit and the wiggle before you race ..
clearly you got the newer bike with the newest brock pipe with a lighter rider

If you're looking for the top performing exhaust system for the ZX-14 look no further. This is the exhaust that Super Street Bike Magazine awarded the "Most Full System HP" after dyno testing 18 exhaust systems in the January 2011 Exhaust Shootout feature.
Dyno tested at well over 200hp!* Independent testing put this exhaust ahead of all the competition in overall power.
