Poll Question: Help me name my 09 Monster Energy Turbo
Gentleman,
Yes I am one of those nerds that think a bike MUST have a name. My old ZX14 was BlackMagic
And my 08 Busa was Dragula. Well now it is time to name this one. It is a 2009 Monster Energy with a Turbo. It is Wheelie's old bike,
I have narrowed it down to the following
Frankenstein Cause thats the only green monster I could think of.
War Child cause it sounds cool and I love the movie Point Break
Royal Flush cause a royal flush wins everytime.
What do you guys think
Poll Results:

"Seriously WarChild, back off"
You've got to go with WarChild to honor Point Break!! Undisputed greatest movie of all time....OK...at least the greatest Patrick Swayze movie of all time (slightly edging out Roadhouse).

Thanks John
I have thought of The Hulk but there is already a ZX14 around here with that theme. It looks like Warchild is winning. I will leave the post up until I get the bike back from the shop then decide on the name. Thanks for the opinions guys

Outof sight, out of mind. I've ridden it once since I dynoed it. Runs great up top but stumbles down low. I'm taking it in tomorrow to haveit worked on. I'm having them degree the cams and check the valve lash. Then I'll ride it a couple times at the track and sell it.

Sounds like you over complicated a very simple stage one kit to the point you don't want anything to do with it.
Turbo bikes are fun but not for everyone I found out myself. I went back to a motor/nitrous 14 and I'm happy with it.

Well from my expierence owning a handful of turbo bikes it will never ride as good as a stock bike will. It will have more power and be close but not the same. If you run pump gas you have to worry about boost creep and detonation. Improper fuel is the number 1 killer of your motor with a turbo. With the extra power they take an extra amount of skill to ride. As an Ex. motorcross racer I compare it to riding a 2-stroke motocross bike with a powerband. A boost controller helps out but still it is dealing with sometimes twice the rear wheel H.P. of a normal bike. I have a good friend who bought a Turbo Busa last year and then after a summer on it sold it. He said he didn't like the excessive speeds that it traped at in the 1/4 mile or the fact that it would sometimes wheely violently at the top side of the track so he eneded up going back to a 1000 with a dry kit. I guess I am used to it because I keep turning the boost up. But if you have a turbo bike make sure you have another streetbike to ride around on.

I have thought about that. The thing about me is I weigh over 350 pounds and while everyone I know with a big sportbike says how unbelievably fast they are they do not feel that fast to me. I can't make the front tire come up on my bike. So I am thinking maybe this turbo bike will give mr about the same power to weight ratio that you
Smaller guys experience on a "stock" bike
