SeeYaa .. Had a lot of fun .. Maybe again some day ..

I sold my 09 zx14 this week .. Well i didn't really sell it , i traded it for a 71 Demon full tube chassis car ..So for now i'm going back to racing a car ..

My Shoulders are given me so much trouble it is just to hard to ride the bike .. I'm looking at at least another year before i get healed up .. So rather than let my zx14 just set and get dusty i traded it for something i can race and go to local cruise Ins with my car buddies . I have had a blast with my two zx14s .. 5 years of blasting 8 second passes on pump gas , stock motored bikes and not one broken part .. The zx14 has been very very good to me and the zx14 owners have become very close friends , some have become like family .. I want to thank all the Bikeland members that have helped me meet my goals as well as the Sponsers Like Brock , Muzzys and Schnitz for all there help and great go fast parts ..I don't know if i'm done with bike racing just yet but i do need some time to heal .. I'm 55 this year and every year this gets a little hard to keep up with the younger guns .. But i'm not going to say never because if Kawi or one of the other brand comes out with a new stupidly fast bike that sets the would on fire i may have to own one .. Hey I'm a speed junky pure and simple .. Be it 4 wheels or 2 i'll allways be racing ..

I'm not leaving bikeland , i'll be around keeping tabs on you guys just in case you get out of line .. I will not be posting as much but if you have a stupid question i'm sure i can give you a stupid answer..

Thanks Guys and go fast and be safe ...

Lee,
I am sure that I speak for the other members on here but thanks for all of the advice and support you have given me/us over the past 2 1/2 years. I remember when I first bought my 14 you were instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. Once I saw your times I thought to myself "I can beat this old guy" LMAO. Lee...good luck and I hope that I bump into you at Bradenton soon. Thanks for the help an support.

Sorry about your shoulder, sounds bad. I had the AC joint in my right shoulder torn apart when I came off the bike two years ago. Had the operation six months later and went through 3 months of very intensive physiotherapy - pain is just information, right?

Well, I got back to fitness twice as fast, they said, because I use a gym and I worked at it. So don't give up Lee, I'm older than you by the way, still doing 200 past my sixtieth birthday and then some. Keith Parnell, Europe's first 8 second biker back in June 1975, was still competing well into his seventies so there's hope for us all. Enjoy the car.

Good luck and hope your shoulder heals ok in the future.

I looked forward to your comments and the excellent advice you gave out for free.

I'm sure your boots wont be filled easily - if indeed not at all on ZX14.com

Cheers.
Alan.

Lee,

I know you been fighting the shoulder thing for quite a while, hopefully it will get well with some time off of hanging on to a bike.
Enjoy the Demon, I know I'm still loving my old big block Malibu!

Stay in touch and thanks for all your input over the years.

Yes. a few weeks ago.... sigh. I got $7,700.00 cash for it. 2007 with 8,900 miles and 11 months Kawasaki extended warranty left. I had about 3K in bolt on's.......oh well. If my shoulder heals maybe next year I will look for a Metallic Red 2010 14. Black was tuff looking in summer with silver metallic popping out but hard to keep clean. It was just going to set for 10 months or so (rehab from operation)
rotator cup. It's been hurting for a 18 months but I rode with pain. Still have my 86 FJ1200 and my Vette and a shop full of mid 1960's Honda S-90's that are for sale. I still have sellers remorse.

Lee,

Say it ain't so...I'll predict you'll have a new two wheel ride very soon...it's just a matter of time before the new 1000cc improvements (BMW, ZX-10R) make it to the big boys and we should see closer to 200hp on a stock bike.

Great contributions since 2006.

Cost will not be too much ... Its a pump gas motor and street legal .. So i''l will not have to trailer it and can run 3.50 a gallon fuel .. I would not do a car i can't use on the street ..

I Really like the Mopar Lee. I bet you have Big Fun with it and easier on shoulders. I always liked Fast cars First( 6'3") but with so many kids it was cheaper to have a Fast Bike and 13 second street car with A/C and Killer sound system.
