Zinc oil Additive
I found Zinc oil additive at my local auto parts store. I was thinking of adding this with my next oil change. I have read over and over that most oils have no zinc in them witch is needed in our motors. Any input?

Use diesel truck oils, dyno or syn. They have zinc.

If it is needed, wouldn't it already be included in the oils? Especially the better oils like amsoil, mobil1, etc?

My theory is, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Regular synthetic is fine. I'm not putting anymore additives in.

From what I understand zink has been removed from most oils for emission reasons. But flat tappet and camshaft lobe's need this stuff. Just thought id bring it up.
