Ridin in N GA

Had a great weekend riding up in N GA this weekend. Camped out north of Suches and rode all my favorite roads. Not a lot of traffic but the bicycles are friggin everywhere up there. Running PilotRoad2's and they were more than up for the task. Had a blast.
www.squidfoto.com was out on Blood mountain taking pics and he took several.

Just a pic on the way home this morning. I need to fab up some forward attach points for my luggage straps though. I don't like having it all on the rear rack. I prefer to put my heaviest bag on the passenger seat with the lighter stuff out back. It was no bother though, just gotta know your limitations with luggage.

Man I am jealous, I grew up in Blairsville (just across the hill from Suches), but being in the Navy I don't have much chance to get back there, especially with the bike.

I hear ya Dakota...just retired from the AF 1 Jan and moved to Buchanan, GA a month ago. After spending the last 11 yrs in Louisiana, I am stoked to be back where the roads are awesome! Great riding up there...although the big Ninja is a total waste up there. I'm on the lookout for something smaller like an SV650. Bike wore me out.

BTW...this pic was on 136 going into Talking Rock

Yeah, I hear you, I would like to have a liter bike or an SV with some suspension mods for roads like those. I still have a ways to retirement, but hopefully I will be headed back that way after I retire.

136 is nice, I always liked 180 and 60 over near Suches, but you are definitely right about the cyclist, they will drive you crazy.

rode 60, 180, blood mounting, Richard Russell all day Saturday. :^)

I had an 01 SV650 with Traxxion front end, and a Penske shock...that thing was evil up here. Almost a perfect blend of power/handling for having fun up here. Want another one.
