Mph is on the low side
went to the track wed. night and made a few motor passes and noticed my mph is quite lower then it was back in 09 being i didnt make a passat all last year.. Off the truck it went 9.0 at 149mph... being it was my first track pass on the bike in like 1.5yrs i was lookin over some old slips that averaged around 153-155.. it went a 8.86 that went 147mph any ideas why my mph is soo low? average 60's were 1.35/1.37.. 1/8th mile averaged 5.65-5..77 at 121/124mph
seems like on average it only picked up about 21-25mph between the 8th and the 1/4.
motor i a 2mill with a generic tune but the wideband reads right around 12.5-13.1 all the way thru.... running pump gas @ 67" with 17-44 gearing bike and rider weigh around 620lbs.. running a single stage lockup and 23psi in the rear tire....
Bike leaves real well... smooth,, 1.35 average 60's
any ideas??? more gear maybe??

is that the same gearing you run running? you were using q16 before right?

no i was running 16-43.. i guess that could be it... and as far as the fuel... i mainly only ran the q16 on the spray.... i think... i'ts been a few yrs... lol but the bike is about 40-50lbs lighter then it was... i guess with a proper tune i could pick up a few.. but i think i need to experiment with my gearing...

Don't worry to much about the MPH at this point ..Just keep an eye on the ETs .. My MPH is all over the place too , 149 to 155 is what i see .. I can go to the same track but on a different day and see big changes in MPH but my ETs are right on .. Hell at BMP one lane will read 149 and the other lane will read 155 same day with the same ETs .. Some days i back half 26 and others 31 ..I know we all like to see big MPH but sometimes it is what it is ..

I'm running 16 /43 right now and have seen no change in MPH from when i ran 16/41 .. 16/43 did help my 60 foot times and ETs but did nothing to my MPH ..

17/44 might work well on the spray. are you keeping the bike now?

i'm keeping it until it sells.... I been on dissability for about 8wks and gettin $$$ from them is like winning the lottery!!! I think i have them squared away for now being they owe me about 300hrs of pay.... but time will tell.
I know i used to cut 1.32/1.33's with 16/45 gearing but it was very inconsistent... i might just try a 17/46 being the bike is 2"longer

Ya my bike dropped 4 MPH but runs the same ET so I wont worry until my et starts to go

i have one for u. I decided to shorten my bike from 67 to stock length. Ive had 16-44,46,47,48. i decide to go back with 16-41. My mph has been low with the other gearing and jumps from 114-117 in the 8th. Im 240. Last night was my first pass with it short and did a 1.70 60 with a 6.5 at 115 mph. I only had one pass but my mph was better with the taller gearing. Definitly surprised me.
