Brake Problems(Chevy Avalanche)

Thought I'd ask here and see if anyone had any advice. This all started when I started hearing a squeek in my brakes around 20,000 miles or so and I noticed they were starting to warp. The noise was driving me crazy so I took it to the dealer and they turned the rotors and replaced the pads. No big deal. Well, ever since then at about somewhere between 10-15k I've had to take it back cause they still keep making noise and keep getting warped. Needless to say, I've went through about 4 or 5 sets of rotors now and it is getting old. It has all been taken care of under warranty, but I'm just getting tired of this reoccurring problem and they seem to be dumbfounded as to what is causing this. So, I'm hoping someone on here might have some idea as to what could be causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the SAME exact problem with my 02 f250.
If you find a answer, please let me know. No shop here can fix it. I had my rotors turned and pads replaced again about 2 months ago, and no problem yet, but it's a matter of time

my dads 05 chevy truck had the same problem after three sets of brakes we found out that from the factory they put in the wrong brake caliper bracket in place they used the ones that would be used on the ss trucks. And the brakes still suck hop like hell when braking down moutain roads. if you turn the rotors your just making them thinner and they warp even faster doesn't help that the rotors are probably from china.

Strange - I'm running a 525 HP 2010 2500HD Dmax, with heavy after-market wheels and 35" tires with a 5" lift - all on the crappy stock brakes with over 22k miles and don't even have any real pad wear, leave alone warped rotors...and I pull as well.

You aren't by any chance puling with that truck are you? Also, all rotors, or just front? Is there anything after-market in the wheels/tire area?

No, I'm not pulling anything. It is just the font and the wheels and tires are stock with the factory aluminum 20s.

Get rid of the junk Chinese stk rotors. They are soft and ain't worth a shit.
Order a set of rotors for the 04 z71 avalanche if you don't want to up grade to aftermarket . I'm guessing its 07 or newer that has the crap rotors. The 09 cad/ ava, had the same problem but my 04/05 Z 71 doesn't and never did even towing ...........

Could be that your rear brakes aren't engaging much at all. Happens sometimes. Puts a lot of strain on the front brakes without the rears engaging. May just need to bleed and adjust them...
