Carnage photo. 06 1K motor

ECU flash, 15K limiter. some guys never learn. The rod bolt broke and the piston hit the head so hard it warped it to where it destorted the cam caps and locked the exhaust cam in the head. Then shoved the rod through the front of the block. I told himn stock rods would not stay in it. they lasted a year. We just put another motor in the frame.

Was it the rpm and breakage or were there some oil issues too, big end looks a bit burnt

I would have thought outright rpm would cause valve probs before bearing speed was an issue,

Suppose you can't feel the motor run beyond the cam timing when the nos is on

I took the other three rods out and they were good but the bearings were worn really bad. Even the main bearings were beat out of it. It could have been low on oil. the rod is really burnt up. One of the bolts let go was what caused it. The piston came out of the bore and would not fit through the hole in the block or come out the bottom because of the crank main journals. Salvaged the trans, a bunch of valves and shims, 3 rods and some electronic parts.
