m14 muzzy map compared to our custom map
Below is the map muzzy sent me for m14 and my mods,definately had to do something else. No tricks, just real world pump 89 gas,kawi 10-30 standard oil,filter in. heat soaked motor after 20+pulls. We had to change everything.

For those who get a muzzy map and believe you are getting map support, don't fool yourself, it wasn't even close,to rich and generic at best. My tuner started over, did 100% all the way thru. Needless to say, I need a new tire.

I had my bike tuned and it was so much smoother than the muzzy map. I used to worry about getting on the gas early in a turn because of the flat spots and surges, now I feel much more confident. I've added 10mph to my speed in some turns, all due to the tuners map.

My M14 flies out, 4 degree advancer map works great in the the DFW area in Texas. 700 feet above sea level.

Have you checked the a/f on the dyno, bypassing the CA ? Just one look at my sheet shows how bad it was. If you are in DFW, I have an awesome tuner with an "honest" dyno(if there can be one).

I use to be Sales Manager/Tech Support at D&D Performance Exhaust in Fort Worth many years ago. They have a Super Flow Eddy Current Dyno. My a/f is just fine.thanks.Sold my Bazzaz to Shane661. My Muzzy M14 has O2 port for checking a/f on the fly. Cycle Werks in Fort Worth is a good shop too (D&D does not do maps for the public anymore), there are several shops with a dyno around the DFW area. Thanks anyway.

Where we did my map is where the "fast" beemer and a few SS 14's (Tony F) and a few big motor 14s were mapped. We overlaid a few to compare. When we do the motor on this one, we know how to get all we can. DFW has been otherwise lean on talent in my experience. But it is good to know I have other options if needed

Let us know how much you picked up at the track with it... From my experience these bikes run better fat at the track than they do lean... but maybe that was just me. Btw, why the 89 octane instead of 87?

I would agree with that, 12.8 is what I hear depending on altitude. I also know the dyno would have shown to be richer if we wouldnt have pinched the CA hose.87 was not my personal choice incase of detonation. I will see what it does at 13.0 range with the DA here in TX.
Edit: From just after 7krpm my a/f reads 12.9 to 13.0. Brock's on zx14 diary back in the day read 13.4, then they ran it at 12.9 and made less power but improved ET at the track. So for him,the change was necessary. If you look at my A/F on the sheet and compare to his, you can see I am pretty close to the track map they ran. I am sure on the dyno I could grab a few more hp, but we are going off track maps on simular bikes.

where in tx are you running? if you run at kennedale, Crandall, or redline you've probably ran my dad. I never had any problems with detonation with 87 out here in california in 6k ft air...

I will dial in my launch at redline since I live 15 mn away, but will mainly run the 1/4 at Crandall. The heat gets pretty bad here. I don't trust it. I'm sure I will run some 90 octane oxigenated fuel. I haven't made a pass on this one yet. In the next week or so I will.
What kind of bike does your dad run?

Dont know if Bryan @ quantum is still in DFW, but I recently took my zx10 to SABINs Performance in DFW. Great shop!!

Dad rides a black and orange 14 (on 87 pump gas). He runs usually runs 5.7-5.8 at redline. He was out there a couple of weeks ago. He was racing PDS this weekend.

Bryan isn't there anymore, the shop I use is where he was, Nick is still there, who knows Bryan and who I have raced with on and off for 10yrs. Jim Sabin use to tune my bikes back in the day, he is pretty sharp too. I just feel better using someone who drag races, and it helps when you know he has tuned and put together winning bikes.
Craig, I have seen that bike run at crandall,and Tricky Ricky, who's bike was tuned at the same pla
ce also. I think he is the same length as me? I am sure he will be at "king of the track" at the end of april.

Just to add something about the 2011 ZX10, my buddy had his 100% stock dyno 165hp, the finished up with 180hp with a flash from some guys out of San Antonio. Nothing else period. That bike is for real,no hype.

Hey guys, I heard there's a performance shop out in oragon can't remember the name of the shop.
Anyway u send out your ZX 14 ECM to them and they reflash it. They take all the limiters the factory installed.
No more 186 mph limit and everything lets the factory put in the program.
Well if anyone has an idea of the shops name and address , it would be much appreciated .

if you just want to remove the speed limiter there are other and im guessing more cost effective ways to do this.
