I recently purchased the EK chain tool. Worked well for me. had no indications that it was going to falter. Took some stiff wrenching to drive pins out and again to mushroom the heads. Expensive but I didn't worry about breaking the tool.
motionPro

RK

EK

i went through this a couple months back . The RK is fine. People report having probs with the Motion Pro It is not made for large chains.
If you compare the appearances of the 3 tools piced above, the RK looks intermediary.. The EK is the strongest.
DID

The DID looks very strong too but no handle??? That might be a bit awkward to use. has flats around the screw that you could hold with a wrench, I know---i would prefer a handle.

I have the RK tool and it works great. the best way to push pins out with any tool is to grind them down flush to the side plate first.

+2 on pinhead grind. Still took quite a bit of force to push through the front and the back plate. Much more to mushroom to proper size rivet.
If you want to go cheap on something, just get a grinding stone bit for your electric drill. Got a set of 3 at Home depot for about $4.

^Actually, that hex that you hold with a wrench on the DID offers a few dif options for what angle you hold the tool. I suppose a 6 point wrench would work just fine.
